Bushie is practically atheistic in his behavior.
This is not true at all. An atheist would try (if in an imperfect, human way) to take a reasoned, rational view of things and make decisions based on observable facts. That is not what Bushie does ever.

No. A rational scientific atheist would try take a reasoned, rational view of things. He's an artistic minded type with nothing to live for.
Do you honestly think that's what informs his behavior?

It's almost as if white carbs and processed snacks are bad for in you in every conceivable way. Next thing you know, you'll be telling us that they are also responsible for tooth decay. Speaking of which, did Bushie ever see a dentist? He mentioned a while back that he has been on a waiting list to see an Indian dentist for almost 2 years.

Bushie is a submissive character who believes whatever authority tells him. These people exist regardless of belief system. In an atheist society, he would not be rational or scientific, but would just follow the most charismatic personality cult. That is basically what he is doing here. He's flat out said his conception of Christianity is just to praise Jesus, praise Jesus, praise Jesus--no real ideology around it, all he needs to do is praise Jesus. He's just hot for Jesus the same the way hardcore Stalinists in 1940s Russia thought Joseph was all-knowing and powerful. Jesus might as well be a man. It's atheistic, it's aspiritual. It doesn't ask any questions.

At least in the Catholic Church he'd be following the Pope and get some half-decent advice about how to live.
Blind faith is, by definition, an atheistic viewpoint? That's one of the most absurd points in the distinguished history of the Update.

That too. Everything I missed I'll get paid for.

But seriously once you've passed a kidney stone you'll stop losing sympathy you ever had for Bushie's tummyaches.
Did you ever get health insurance?

Grandma told me that she'll fix more vegetables tonight and future nights so we can eat at least somewhat better in the evenings, too.
Are you helping granny cook? Or at least doing the dishes afterward?

So, since you've mentioned that you are never rude and refuse what you are being served, I expect you will extend such Christ-like courtesy to leafy greens and tomaters.
You think granny is going to "fix" leafy greens for Bushie? She might open a can of spinach. But I very much doubt it.

BushOK's Basketball team lost last night and he expressed how he's upset about this. Watch for some "comfort food" to enter the picture today (or maybe it already did last night. A midnight snack that he's hiding from us?).
Meanwhile, the 76ers are 0-17 Tongue

Interracial porn, as a mainstream porn genre, is incredibly bad. It's basically made for self-hating racists. This is less the case when it's a white guy and a black girl, but the treatment of black men by mainstream porn is horrible imo. (Obviously I'm not saying there's anything wrong with interracial sex, just its treatment by the porn industry.)

On the bukakke subject, it depends on how the scene is directed and acted. It can be a very empowering thing for the female actress at the center of it all. It can also just be an exercise in humiliation and degradation, as pretty much the most extreme sort of sexual objectification.

I don't see how what you describe could be "very empowering" unless I am mistaken as to what "bukakke" is. Personally I think it's all objectifying and degrading but I'll take your word for it and leave it at that.
There is such a thing a sex-positive feminism.

I am aware. Some of those people here brought a pornographic actress to come speak about that sort of thing a few weeks ago, or something like that. I was confused.
If a woman enjoys sex (as many of them do) and wishes to....share that gift, why should her public performance be considered demeaning when that judgment is never applied to men? It is a disgusting double standard. Granted sex can be a distasteful thing, but it does not have to be. There's nothing wrong with embracing sex, so long as one does it in a manner that is mindful of diseases and pregnancy. Presuming women must be victims in casual sex is just as demeaning as slut shaming.

I like it when memphis makes selective use of feminist buzzwords when it suits his purposes. It's cute.
I like it when you feel the need to reply to a point without remotely addressing the point. It's ridiculous.

Hooray for males on internet arguing about what feminists want under the sheets.

I recognize that different women want different things under different circumstances because they are different people. Others seem to take another view, thinking that sex, and indeed any facet of life remotely related to interaction with the opposite sex, must be traumatic for all women in all contexts because Women Are Very Fragile. If one of these people wants to dodge his own very problematic (and frankly, misogynistic) position and instead focus on ad hominems, that's his prerogative.

80 pounds is amazing, Big Daddy.  Congrats!!!!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It's hardly a secret that just about everybody struggles with weight and not many people can pull off such a feat. In today's data driven world, you'd think there'd be more concrete points that would guide weight loss instead of the "Eat only pineapples for a week and lose 12 pounds" crap that we all see everywhere.

The details of Bushie's lease are pretty standard. He's not renting from a small investor. He lives in a large complex with hundreds of units, which is owned by a large investment company, that owns countless other complexes, and managed by a seperate management company, that manages countless other complexes. They have teams of lawyers who have devised fine print very carefully to squeeze out every penny they can from people like Bushie. Also, every complex always has a few percent of their units vacant, so I don't know how they are determining of they have leased his unit. Presumably they prioritize apartments that were vacated normally, so as to get as much of Bushie's money as possible. If they are all full, that would mean that the rent is not set high enough, a situation that with modern data management never happens. I recognize that much of this model may be unfamiliar to people in the UK, where housing shortages have been more of an issue,  but is rent really not due on the 1st of the month there also? That's pretty basic. Any American landlord, even a small one will charge a fee for rent being more than a few days late.

What if God told them to kill a guy though? Then we'd have the right to condemn though, right?

He never contradicts the Bible.  Exodus 20 "Thou shall not kill."  He would never tell anyone to kill another human being.  The only case in which this does not apply is the death penalty.
Really? Because in the Bible, God tells Abraham to kill Isaac. Also, are you suggesting that God speaks to people directly? I'm always the first to condemn religion, but that's less religion than it is schizophrenia. Though those two maladies are, of course, also correlated.

Serious question. Are there not at least some scattered, remote villagers who don't speak a European language?

I never did get a good understanding of what exactly the nature of your work was in Kenya. What did you do there aside from Loving On Children?

We fed the children and the widows, we volunteered in their education classes, we tutored the children in their math, science, English classes and other subjects as necessary we visited and attended to some needs in the slums, we sponsored them and found them sponsors from America to give them clothing, shoes, school supplies, pay for their tests, pay for them to go to school, and make sure they eat.  We also helped with the administrative side of things, helping the administrators who live and work at the orphanage by taking some burden off them or assisting them in locating children and whatever family they have.
Not we. What did you do?

That thread is gold. And shows how repetitive this all is. Still, I was interested to see that Jeff was set to be banned or put on mod review if he didn't lose a certain amount of weight. It must have been a motivator:

Notice I say that I need to lose weight too. I'm down from 205 to 175 since then. And it's super Inksing hard every day. You have to train your brain just as much as your body. Bushie doesn't have a clue how challenging a life can be because he has never had to work for anything.

Yeah, Bushie doesn't have a fraction of the drive needed to sustain a high level business career. The problem is that people keep telling him to shoot for these crazy, implausible dreams. He needs to pursue something he has at least a chance of acheiving. I stand by my repeated pizza delivery suggestions from last season. As long as you don't steal, it's super hard to get fired from pizza delivery.

I know I shouldn't be giving him any ideas but look at this American "masterpiece": http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-pizza-hut-doritos-crust-pizza-20141205-story.html

Something so appropriate for BushOK's tastebuds! And remember: this is something his family would consider "good" pizza! Mmmmmmm!

[Barf]

As someone who probably eats more Pizza than Bushie, I can't figure out what is worse, this on Papa John's Frito's Chilli's Pizza.
The Frito's Chili Pizza was last month's promotion. They are currently offering a Philly cheesesteak pizza. Lol.
