It's not Morgan Freeman on the ad, which goes to show that some rudimentary fact-checking might be worth your while.

Gotta love the benevolent Democrats and their invariably correct assumptions about what libertarians say.

I was simply getting it in before Libertas stole my thunder by writing the exact same sentence (he'd use different words though). Wink

unfortunately I don't think the script is all that great. it's a pretty generic anti-Dem ad, and with Lawson, I was hoping for better. the voice doesn't fit all that well - it would have been better used for a pro-Lawson piece, esp at this stage of the game.

Even more hilariously, the article you linked refers to an ad by another candidate in another race in Wisconsin.

Swing state, woodsy areas . . .

I don't know why I did that.  I thought "Wisconsin" and wrote "Oregon." :S

Good Lord, that is embarassing. Shows I could probably benefit from my own advice.

Apologies - a quick Google News search returned that result, and I guess I wasn't banking on there being more than one ad with a narrator who sounded like Morgan Freeman. Tongue

Seems the Lawson campaign was conned - they had a contract from an LA advertising agency that often does celebrity commercials saying Freeman would do the ad.  Still, that's pretty embarrassing, and they should have asked themselves why Freeman would do a commercial for only $4500.

Fortunately, Price survived this whole ordeal and was able to win here relatively easily. Lawson always gets a lot of attention, but his positions aren't really that good for NC-4. For example, he wants to eliminate federal research funding...in the Research Triangle.
