Sen. Robert Byrd (West Virginia) for Obama

Good, good.

It's also notable for how he basically just gave the middle finger to his state.

Seriously though, can you imagine the backlash if he didn't endorse Obama? Plus Obama is the more logical candidate for him anyway, considering how strongly Byrd is opposed to the Iraq War.

Not really; I mean, Rockefeller endorsed him too, I'm just surprised Byrd waited until after the primary.

But Benconstine is a Clintonista. Or least was. He may have decided to become an Obamaniac because Clinton is finished.

Hm? It's just like the Edwards endorsement - a big name ceasing to hold out because there#s no point of holding out anymore.

How many days til Gore and Carter d'you reckon? After Oregon?

I moved over to Obama a little after Super Tuesday, when it became clear that Hillary was not going to win.

Martha Coakley, one of Massachusetts's add-ons, endorses Clinton. Now she's free of retribution from the Kennedy family, probably.

Yes, and he wouldn't be DNC, he'd be DPL. And none of the "Pelosi club" have met their pledge yet. (I suspect Cantwell regrets making it.)

Rep. Joe Courtney of CT for Obama.
Unknown type of superdelegate William Craig Bashein of OH for Clinton.

And to summarize (list from Obama campaign memo):
Caveat: not all of these are necessarily supers, though, as Edwards, among others, is included.

Bashein is one of Ohio's add-ons. The other had endorsed Obama. (I believe Bashein had probably privately committed to Clinton before being selected as I can't imagine the Ohio Democratic Party having selected an Obama supporter and someone truly uncommitted.)
