The swings in counties counted or mostly counted are a few percent towards  Childers, except for Acorn, which was a one percent swing to Davis. It's over. I see no huge turnout relatively speaking in Desoto. Childers by 7% as a guess.

Childers just flipped Lafayette County by 53-47.  It went for Davis by 44-51 last time.

That was the biggest swing so far, 14%, but all the counties are swinging, or flat. It's over.

Look at Prentiss County. No votes in. Last time Childers carried it with 85% of the vote and a 3,500 vote margin. This won't be that close.

Union county +40 for Childers compared to Kerry's performance. I am getting more and more optimistic.

That's great news for Childers. Looks like Torie is right -- this one might be over.

This is a slight uptick for Davis, but he lost by the same number of absolute votes.

Good news for Childer: Benton, Calhoun, Clay, Itawamba, Prentiss are not in.

Same percentage margin as last time. More votes.

Grenada is all in, going 49-51 to Davis.  Last time, Davis won it 54-40.

Panola with one precinct out, a 14% swing to Childers. This is why I called the race, after seeing no mega turnout in DeSoto.

Desoto admitted another 9 precincts. Making it a 700 vote lead for Childers.

DeSota only has 2 more precincts to report and Childers has a 700 vote lead. He will win just about everywhere else and will win big in Prentiss's 15 precincts.

This one is almost over.

OK, Childers, you're about out of the woods in DeSoto and haven't surrendered the lead.  I'm starting to get ecstatic.

I suspect this one is over, unless DeSoto has some missing mass of votes, to make the margin say +12 or 13,000.

That was mostly desoto coming in. There is nothing but going up now for Childers.

Missed the latest vote bump.  With Clay and Prentiss still out, it's over.

Yep. Calling it for Childers. Pontotoc is the only big Davis county left.

9 precincts came in from DeSoto. 2 left. The Pubbie was is just about shot. Davis still has Tate, but Childers has Prentiss and Pontotoc.

Looks like South Memphis (thank you, Cheney) wasn't enough for Greg Davis.

If Davis loses tonight, I'm sure most Republicans will say that Glenn McCullough would've beaten Childers.

My guess is about a 6,000 vote margin.

In Tate County, Davis leads by 1569-2049 with all in.  That's an improvement over last time by 200 votes for Childers.
