About this Poll

The poll shows Hatch supported by 45 percent of the 663 likely voters surveyed by telephone from Oct. 23 through Oct. 28. Pawlenty drew 39 percent of the support and Independence Party nominee Peter Hutchinson got nine percent. The other seven percent were undecided. Hatch's six-point lead could be nullified by the poll's margin of sampling error, which is plus or minus 3.8 percent.
