Since Napoleon has mysteriously vanished following a whirlwind of activity in his first few weeks, I say we vote on this. I think most of us have drawn our respective lines in the sand.

I am interpreting the previous comments of Senators AHDuke and Napoleon as a call for a final vote. Noting that debate ceased for longer than 24 hours (most recently on July 30-31), a cloture vote is not required.

Therefore, Senators, there is now a final vote on this bill, quoted below for your convenience. Please vote aye, nay, or abstain.

It's certainly not as bad as the original text.

Senators voting in favor: shua, Duke, Jbrase, bgwah, NCYankee, Fuzzleton (6)
Senators abstaining without vote: Antonio, Snowguy, Napoleon, Officepark (4)

This bill has enough votes to pass. As there were no votes opposed to passage, the 24 hour waiting period is waived and it is hereby presented to President Polnut for his signature or veto.

Excellent. I think this will be a good middle of the road policy that takes into consideration the concerns of all sides.

What the hell ?

The thread title hasn't been edited indicating that a final vote was going on. I would have voted if I knew it was...

Sure blame it on me. Tongue Hey the downside of having BK open and close votes when available is that the Thread titles can't be changed till I get on. And for the record, I did try to change the thread title yesterday after I voted, but the page wouldn't load and so I had to exit and load the atlas back from the main page. For some reason, I didn't get a chance to check if it went through or not last night. So, blame AOL Dial-up. Tongue

I didn't want to blame it on you... I'm just sad to see my voting record tarnished at the very end of my term... Sad
