Are we proposing official platforms to presumably vote on yet, or are we still brainstorming? Tongue

Brainstorming.

Anyway, I'm fine with Napoleon's ideas.

I am in agreement with those positions. I'll wait to see what everyone else thinks. Come New Year I hope to have a thorough and detailed platform we can work with, to be amended before adoption. Everything posted here, I'll keep in mind.

I took the liberty of combining the proposals that were mentioned here and came up with this.

Again, not intended to be an official proposal (even though it sounds like such Tongue); but it's more to work with.

Where should the caucus stand on national health care and guns?

I think we should stay neutral in both issues and give liberty of action for our members.

What about game reform?

Oakvale and I were discussing whether or not it would be appropriate to include cabinet reform in the platform. I'd like to hearken from you guys first.

I'm receptive (don't know the word in English) for new reforms.

I think we should promote finding solutions to decrease costs, and let individual members support whatever way they feel is best. As far as guns, I think it would be best to just leave it at "We support safe, and responsible gun ownership." It leaves enough room for some to still support mild gun control and those who don't.

Aye!!! Aye!!!!

Even though those ideas, I want to add a minimum of health care support for the poorest 5% of the nation.

Sounds good!

We should also probably address that not all members have to agree with everything on the platform.

I had made in the last day some harsh comments against an ex-user of atlasia.

I did it in my way and with total conviction of what I was doing.

If you think that I may leave, please tell me.

I don't think Kalwejt of all people will be upset by comments made in angry moment. Besides, what is important is moving on, staying positive,  and playing this game. Smiley

The holiday is over.

I nominate Oakcale for Chair and Jbrase for Vice-Chair.

Seconded, on both counts.

In the spirit of democracy, what do my fellow members think about voting on platform planks piecemeal? If vote tallying seems hellish I'll volunteer to do it.

Come to think of it, why didn't we suggest Jbrase for the Senate vacancy? Wink

Mind you, Tender's a great choice, too, but it would have been nice to have another Liberal Senator, albeit for a week. Tongue

I've no particular objection to voting on platform planks piecemeal, though it might get messy.

Precisely. I'm pretty sure Jbrase mentioned to me he wished to return to regional politics.

Oh, I know, ha, I just think a former Senator would make a good placeholder for a week (or however long's left in Kal's term). Tongue

Oh, right, I forgot he'd run for re-election and thought he was resigning early. Oops.

Okay, I'd like to welcome Nagas to the caucus. Smiley

Since the dissolution vote might be fairly soon, I think we should knock out a brief platform and some procedure rules. We probably don't need many positions just, what, Chair and Vice-Chair?

Also, I think I speak for us all that while we wish our member and friend Jbrase the best of luck and congratulate him on his selection as ZuWo's Vice-Presidential running mate, the Liberal Caucus will stand behind President Snowguy should he choose to seek a second term.
