Martha McSally Campaign Ad (Wrong for America) (Airing in IA, NH, NV, SC, TX, CA, VA)

Martha McSally: I'm Martha McSally and I approve this message

Narrator: Ron DeSantis doesn't tell you the whole truth when he shows you those ads, the truth is he's wrong for America

Narrator: While serving as a congressman, DeSantis voted to raise the age for Social Security to 70, meaning that seniors would have to work an additional five years to recover the same benefits, DeSantis sold out seniors to line his pockets with the money of Washington lobbyists

Narrator: When he ran for governor, DeSantis ran a racially charged campaign marked by dog-whistling against an African American opponent

Narrator: The truth about Ron DeSantis is that he is

Narrator: A racist, Washington crony, that America can't afford

HAWLEY 2024
Ad #1: "The Real Problems"
(aired in IA, SC, NH, NV, and TX)

Hawley: Jobs that have been moved overseas.

Hawley: An economic and medical system that's been viewed as one of the most innovative in the world for time out of mind.

Hawley: And a tax system that rewards hard work and enterprise.

Hawley: And I'm sure each of my opponents would tell you the same.

Hawley: But, if we're divided, we'll get that other thing.

Hawley: Which is why I pledge that I will not run negative ads over the course of this primary campaign. Because I believe I can win without putting others down. And that's exactly what I intend to do.

Narrator: Josh Hawley. Together, we will win.

Hawley: I'm Josh Hawley, and I approve this message.

Aired in Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia, and South Carolina

Quote
Ron DeSantis Ad: Socialist Smears

"In 2018, they said Ron DeSantis couldn't win. And socialist Democrats tried to smear Ron DeSantis, and calling him a racist. A shocking lie."

"But Ron proved them wrong, Ron won, he beat the socialists and led Florida into a brighter future.."

"Martha McSally didn't get the message, she's parroting the same desperate ultraliberal attacks. It makes sense though...."

"She supported illegal amnesty in congress. More jobs overseas and more unlimited immigration and free trade. The fact is; she's not a conservative. She's another bought and sold TPP Republican."

"Ron DeSantis is a better choice. He stood up for our jobs, against job killing trade deals, and against criminals on Wall Street. Vote DeSantis. Ron DeSantis: The Real Conservative."

"I'm Ron DeSantis and I approve this message."

Former US Representative Tom Davis Endorses Martha McSally

Sen. Martha McSally represents the perfect balance between conservativism and moderation. She will make the right decisions regardless of politics. Sen. McSally has seen all the sides and sits right in the middle of moderateness and conservatism. I'm proud to endorse her as President

Doug Jones Debate Answers

1.
Quote
It's so great to be back in the Granite State and I'm so happy that CNN has hosted this debate. I believe that America's best days are ahead of us. But in order to ensure that those days come, we need to start talking and listening to one another. I've spent my entire life working with anyone I can to get things done for this country, whether they're a Republican, Independent, or a Democrat. I'm running for President because we need to work together to fight the tough fights, overcome the obstacles, and move forward as a nation.

2.
Quote
President Biden did a great thing by expanding our healthcare system to create a public option and it's helped millions of Americans across this country get the coverage that they deserve. Obviously, like any major government agency in its infancy, I think we need to continue to improve the public option. Let's expand the pool of coverage, work to keep premiums down, and make sure that the progress made over the last 3 years by President Biden doesn't get stopped. I was there in the Senate when the GOP attempted to rip away healthcare from millions of Americans and as President, I'll safeguard the healthcare system from attacks from Republicans.

3.
Quote
Look, I think that all Americans agree that we should have a safe, secure border. I support increasing troops on the border, as well are adding fencing in some parts. As President, I want to know who's in our country and why. That's just common sense. We have to find a middle ground on immigration. Too often, the American people are given 2 options. One is that we have open borders and lenient laws. And the other is to have almost no immigration, making it hard for asylum seekers to come to our country. I want to make sure that we have a secure AND compassionate immigration system. Let's protect DACA, let's give pathways to citizenship, make sure that kids are kept with there families, and know who's in our country and why.

4.
Quote
Joe Biden is a patriot, a public servant, and one of the most effective President's we've had in a long time. He has had some missteps, I admit, but overall the President has done an amazing job leading this country and moving us out of the "Trump era". I was honored when he tapped me as Attorney General and I would be honored to follow him as President.

5.
Quote
I'll keep it civil, Anderson. Smiley

6.
Quote
I'm running for President to take this country back and make it work for the working person. I know that we have so much we can accomplish as a nation if we could stop the partisan bickering and rally around common goals and beliefs. I want to be President not for myself, but for you. The American people. Thank you.

7.
Quote
I'm immensely proud of what I did as Attorney General to decriminalize marijuana. Not just as medical freedom, but as a way to expand justice to the hundreds of African Americans that were arrested every day because they possessed the drug. By decriminalizing it, we took a big step towards evening out the playing field in this country and helping restore the rights of thousands of Americans. And as President, I will legalize the substance across this country.

Gun control is such an important issue. You know, I come from a gun owning state and Alabama has a long gun history. In a lot of America, like South Carolina and Alabama, it's not just something you have, owning a gun is a way of life. (Cheers) But, we have to be smart about it. In the Senate, I made sure to keep an open mind to both sides. I did that as Attorney General too. So ya'll, I make this pledge. As President, I'll expand background checks. (Cheers) I'll ban assault weapons. (Cheers) And I'll make sure that people on the terrorist watchlist can buy a gun! That's just common sense! Doug Jones Ad #2: "4 Little Girls"
Running in IA, NH, SC, GA, MS, AL, LA

On September 15th, 1963, 4 little girls lost their lives in the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama

A senseless act of violence stripped these girls away from their families. All because of the hate and bigotry of the time.

Doug Jones took on the task when very few other people would, prosecuting two of the men responsible and bringing justice to the families of the girls.

Doug stood up against hate and bigotry and got the job done.

As President, Doug will stand up for what's right and demand justice for every American.

Whether they're a Democrat or Republican

Rich or poor

Gay or straight

Or a little girl in a church

Ron DeSantis Debate Answers

1.
Quote
Thank you Chris I'm happy to be here in Council Bluffs, where I've had the pleasure of being here I believe twice so far in this campaign with my amazing wife Casey and our great kids. But what a campaign this is, we're starting a movement my friends. My fellow Republicans what we are aiming for is big and bold. This is a campaign of aspiration for the future of this country. In Florida I worked for environmental cleanup, American jobs, lower taxes, and draining the swamp. This is my record, and we can do it nationally. We can bring back American manufacturing, eliminate lobbyist control of Washington, and bring all parties together to solve our greatest problems. My campaign is the one strongest for America First values, and I promise you when we win, we will put America First. Thank you.

2.
Quote
Breaking gridlock in Washington is key to my campaign. In Florida I brought people together to keep our economy strong. As the national economy tanked with liberal mismanagement, our economy remained strong, taxes stayed low and the jobs stayed in the Sunshine State. That's because we worked together. Socialists Democrats try and tell us that America First values are bad. That's a big lie, because America First Values are truly bipartisan. Restoring American manufacturing, making sure our workers get the best shake, and putting American small businesses before international banks is something we can all get behind. As President, we'll break gridlock to get results for you, just like in Florida.

3.
Quote
I'm not afraid to say it, Donald Trump was a good President. This is a guy who the establishment laughed at, they said he had no shot. Then he beat the establishment candidate, the candidate who had been running for President for 20 years. He beat her. And then he set on a path to Make America Great Again. He cut taxes and brought record economic growth, he appointed constitutionalists to the Supreme Court, and worked to protect the sanctity of life. He also kept our military strong, and made it stronger. Sometimes he was sabotaged, especially when he tried to repeal the Obamacare disaster. Sometimes he made some mistakes though. For instance, I would not have tried to to renegotiate NAFTA. It was a rigged deal, and I will never approve another job killing free trade deal. I also would've had more middle class tax cuts in the tax bill, and I think there were too much Goldman Sachs, frankly Hillary supporters, in the cabinet. But he was a good President, and I will aspire to his legacy.

4.
Quote
That's a great question Chris. We need to end the liberal incompetencies, the movement towards socialism. That's how we make our economy red hot again. I'll slash middle class taxes across the board, I'll bring the corporate tax rate down to 20%. I'll annihilate the business tax for small businesses, bringing it down to record levels. I'll cut spending, bring the skyrocketing deficit down, cut the debt. What are we at now, 22 trillion, 23 trillion? That's catastrophic. I'll cut spending, bring the troops home from the endless wars caused by President Bush and Obama. You know what that is called, putting America first my friends. We put America First, and we trash these rigged global trade deals to finally, say it with me, bring the jobs home!

5.
Quote
Look Chris, this is what I'll say. We need a different kind of Republican. We will lose badly with a TPP, free trade, establishment Republican. We will win with an America First Republican. A populist, pro worker, grassroots conservative. Recently, one of my opponents was endorsed by President Bush, Mitch McConnell. And good god, Dick Cheney? This the the establishment triple crown? The trio of free trade and endless wars, I say no. We need an America First Republican, who will bring American troops and jobs back home. Not a TPP Republican.

6.
Quote
I'm running for President to put America First. Florida as been a shining example of America First values these past 6 years. Pro jobs, low taxes, and respecting our beautiful nature around us for the next generation. As President I'll fight for these America First values across the board. Lower taxes, cleaner air and water, and bringing the troops home. But perhaps most importantly, we must fix the soul of this country. And mend the heartland, right here and Iowa. Communities have been gutted and destroyed. Plants employing a hundred have shot down, leaving towns desolated. As President, I put an end to that. I'll end the rigged trade deals that have ripped at the heart of this country. I'll put America and every single American First. Thank you.

7.
Quote
Look, and I'll name names. Senator McSally is dredging up a failed 2018 ultraliberal attack just so she can win this primary. It's desperate and sad. Democrats tried to pick apart throwaway phrases I said to prove I was some kind of racist. This is not true. I love every decent American, no matter their skin color or sexual orientation. As governor I worked to treat every person, no matter the race, with dignity and respect. I worked to lift up black neighborhoods and areas that had been left behind for centuries and lift people up. I'd like Senator McSally to apologize for using this desperate and hurtful attack.

DEBATE ANSWERS

1. Hi, I'm Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and I'm running for President. Throughout my career, I've helped to end Regime-Change War, and put Americans First. I believe everyday Americans need a Fighter. A Fighter that won't get in bed with Special Interests, but someone that will fight for the People. I am that candidate. Thank you.

2. Well, I believe that the Public Option has been a good accomplishment of the President. Yet, we still see millions of Americans on the street, with no Healthcare, because they can't afford it. I'm not working for the Insurance Companies, or the Big Businesses, I'm working for you. That's why I'm proud to support Medicare for All, and under my Administration we would ensure that every American, no matter their background, has equal access to Healthcare.

3. I don't believe that tearing down our border is the way to go. Although I voted against the Wall, and will not support it, tearing it down would be a waste of money. We've already spent so much on it, thanks to the incompetent leadership in the GOP, it would cost even more to tear it down. I'm in support of a Pathway to Citizenship, and DACA, but tearing it down is not the way to go.

4. I believe that Joe Biden is an okay President. He's not a Progressive, though. He still takes Corporate PAC Money, he still gives Tax Cuts to the Big Companies, and I don't think that is right. Although I commend him on some of his accomplishments, we need a Real Progressive leading this country. We need to pass Medicare for All, establish a Living Wage, and make Higher Education Affordable. That's what I'll do.

6. I believe that tonight we spoke about the issues. We spoke about our ideas for America, and our Vision. My vision is simple: An Affordable America, a Smart America, and a Great America. We can only do that though with Real Progressive Leadership. Don't listen to some on this stage saying that our plan isn't affordable, or it isn't possible. Reconstruction wasn't possible, getting out of the Great Depression wasn't possible, until we put our minds to it, united. That's what we're going to do, but only together, so join me, so we can get some things done.

Personal Question: I do not regret this meeting. I went to Syria out of Peace. We need to end the regime change wars destroying not only our country, but others. The United States getting involved in Syria let to ISIS. The United States getting involved in Afghanistan led to Al Qaeda. When are we going to learn our lesson? As President I'll end this, and cut the B.S.

Martha McSally Debate Answers

1. First of all thank you, to Chris Wallace and Fox News, for hosting this debate. Hi, I'm Senator Martha McSally and I'm running for President. My career is not one as a career politician. I served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. I fought in the Middle East and in Yugoslavia. I also was the first woman to be a pilot of a fighter jets in combat. But, after I was done with my service, I decided that I still wanted to serve my country, so I entered politics. Now for nearly 12 years, I have been a public servant. Since 1988, I have been serving this nation. My commitment has always been to this nation and its people, not the establishment. When I'm President, I'll work for you, and I have a long track record of doing exactly that.

2. The truth is to break gridlock, we have to work with Democrats. We have seen what happens when there is no bipartisanship. In 2010, backed by President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and big government liberals pushed through Dodd-Frank and Obamacare, and the truth is Harry Reid and Obama wanted to add a public option to Obamacare. Now, Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer are pushing for that exact same public option. The truth is when politicians craft partisan bills designed to pass on a party-line, like Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, or the public option, America suffers. So as President, I promise to reach out to moderate, common-sense Democrats for ways to improve America, this does not mean that I am extending a hand to coastal liberals like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, but middle of the road, moderate or conservative Blue-Dog Democrats will certainly be approached on policy issues by my administration.

3. I think there are good and bad things about President Trump. For example, I supported his overtures with North Korea, and we have made significant progress in negotiations with North Korea. I also supported his firm commitment on social issues, like abortion. I also supported the Trump tax cuts, which cut taxes, for millions of Americans. One area, where I disagreed with President Trump was his tariff policy. The trade war he started with China, ended up hurting farmers in America's heartland, like here in Iowa. However, he was right to take a stronger stance on trade. Trade deals like the Trans Pacific Partnership exploited American workers and led to jobs being shipped overseas. However, it is difficult to currently assess the long-term impact of a Trump Presidency, however I do think that it was a better Presidency than Bill Clinton's or Barack Obama's

4. I think one way we can restart the economy is deregulation of businesses and Wall Street. Following the crash of 2008, the main issue with recovery was that the liberals led by Reid, Pelosi, and Obama, went overboard. They passed the Dodd-Frank bill, which led to massive amounts of regulations placed on businesses, including small businesses. They also created an unnecessary bureaucratic institution, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which placed massive amounts of regulation on the financial sector and financial companies, such as banks. In 2018, when Republicans held the House, Senate, and the Presidency, they repealed much of the disastrous Dodd-Frank law, which along with tax cuts, stimulated the economy, then Democrats can back into power and tanked the economy, again. We have to learn the lessons of the crash of 2008, we have to keep a laissez-faire attitude as our economy rebuilds, we should provide tax cuts and incentives for corporations to create jobs. We should roll back harmful legislation, and truly allow business to grow. That's my plan to get this country, back on track

5. I would like to ask Governor DeSantis, if he claims to support everyone, we did he run a racially charged campaign, where among other thing he said "the last thing we need to do is monkey this up"?

6. The truth is the establishment is doing everything that they can to win this race. I won't let them, I'll stand up to the bureaucracy in Washington. I'll get our nation back on it's feet, by repealing liberal legislation, that is chaining businesses to the ground. I'll work for conservative values, and I'll be a real conservative and not a fake conservative, who claims to be one. As President, I will truly fight for all Americans. Thank You

7. The truth is in this race, you have establishment Republicans, like Governor DeSantis and Vice President Pence, claiming to be conservatives. The truth is Mike Pence is no conservative, in Indiana, he slashed prison funding, making it likelier for criminals to walk free, that sounds a lot like something that a big government coastal liberal, would do. As a congressman, Ron DeSantis voted to raise the retirement age by 5 years. There is no possible way that he can expect senior citizens to work an extra five years. He took that vote, because the lobbyists, that line his pockets, told him to. My attacks are to inform Republican voters that the establishment is trying to steal this primary by painting its candidates as "conservative" and real conservatives like me as "establishment." There is only one real conservative in this primary, who has a track record of fighting for the average, everyday American, and that is me.

SENATOR HAWLEY DEBATE ANSWERS

1. Thanks, Chris. This nation was built on the principles of enterprise, freedom, and liberty for all. It was built on a belief that all men, and women (nods to Senator McSally) are created equal, and thus have the right to seek out profitable employment, or, should they see a need, create it by starting a business. However, the Democrats want to stifle those rights, and I find that utterly repulsive. I hope that I and everyone else on this stage can explain why we believe this, and so much more besides.

2. Well, I'm glad to see we already have the House and Senate back. Those will be an asset to pushing through actual reforms that, in this economy, we can't afford to put off any longer. As the nominee, I won't be running just for myself: I'll be helping as many Senate and House candidates as I can get elected, so we can maintain and possibly expand those majorities going into the new administration. And thus, we'll break the gridlock and bring real, conservative change to America.

3. I believe Donald was a good and well-meaning President who made a few, mostly political, mistakes. You know, Charlottesville, obviously, was a massive mistake in the way he responded to it, or at least the way he phrased it. He was also very principled, and very sure of his principles, which could lead to struggles and discord when the time came for compromise, especially when the Democrats took control of the House. Was he a legendary President? No. Did he do a great job with what he had? You bet.

4. First off, dismiss all this socialist nonsense that the Democrats have been spewing. That's the exact wrong way to go. What we should do is actually a bit different: how many people here have seen Shark Tank? Okay, a lot of you. That's good; that means you'll all understand where I'm going with this: we should take the money that's going to the Democrats' hair-brained schemes and invest it in small businesses, in new industries, that can kickstart the economy. If we do that, instead of just digging ourselves into a socialist hole, we can and will rise again, stronger and greater than ever before. And, best of all, we can do it and still cut taxes, big time! How does that sound, folks?

5. I've already said I'm not going to slam anyone in my campaign ads, and I won't do it here. Look, Ron, Martha, Chris, Mike, all of them are good people who want to fix this nation, but I believe I'm best for the job. I hope I've shown that to a lot of you already tonight. But, I suppose, in the spirit of the question, I will ask Governor DeSantis this: do you believe that small businesses still have the ability to thrive in this economy, or are we too dominated by those too big to fail?

6. I'd like to thank everyone for coming out here tonight. I'd like to thank the people of Council Bluffs, IA, for having us here, it's been an honor meeting with a lot of you, talking about the issues that really affect America, both one on one and on this stage. I believe that we've aired a lot of thoughts, and I hope we can continue with this trend. And remember: if you want to invest in small business, in what made America an economic powerhouse to begin with, vote for me in February. God bless you all, God bless America, and good night.

KIRSTEN'S DEBATE RESPONSES

1. I believe that Americans are ready for bold new change. This change will hopefully be reflected in both the policies that we enact, but also the leaders we choose to represent us. I hope we can move into a new era of American politics where people of all genders, races and sexual orientations can look up to leaders and no one has to worry about how they are going to house, clothe, feed, or provide healthcare for them and their families. Thank you.

2. I am very proud of the fact we were able to offer the American people more coverage for them and their families with the public option but the truth is we have much more work to do for the American public and offer them with universal health care for them. We owe it to our constituents to end the cycle of sending them to bed worrying about how they might afford treatment should a family member fall ill.

3. The Cost-Benefit ratio on demolishing the wall is something that would need to be looked at, perhaps sections that were built by seizing peoples property or may disrupt the local environment
should be torn down, but there are better places for money to be spent than tearing down concrete slabs.

4. Look, Joe and I don't agree on everything, I respect the hell out of him and believe that what he did, he did because he cared about this country and its people, which is more than I can say for his predecessor. He wasn't a progressive but I can't fault him for that too much as he didn't campaign as one. He stuck to his promise of being a moderate compromiser.

5. I have no comments to make about other candidates at this time.

6. I believe the country has a chance to be what it was always dreamed to be but never was. This country was believed to be a place for equality, yet we enforced segregation and laws preventing people who wanted to serve the country from doing so solely based on their sexual orientation. and even today, through racist rhetoric and voter disenfranchisement. It was supposed to be the land of opportunity, yet we now see the rich grow richer as the poor continue to worry about food security. We have a chance to say that these statements are true. We will be able to say "come, no matter who you are, if you mean no one harm we will open our arms wide." People won't have to fear where they may eat or sleep tomorrow. That is the promise of America. That is the potential of this country, the potential of my campaign. Thank you.

Bullock Debate Answers

1. Firstly, I'd like to thank Anderson for moderating this debate, and to the gracious people of Manchester for hosting us. At this moment, America stands at a turning point. We are mired in the worst national crisis since 2008, and our government has been unable to do much due to partisan deadlock. The most polarized elements of our parties have paralyzed negotiations, and the American people are being held hostage. As President, I pledge to fully back bipartisan talks to craft a long-lasting solution to this terrible crisis, and I will actively press Congress to work together for the best interests of the American people.

2. I fully support the public option. Many of my constituents cannot afford private healthcare, and this option has allowed them to finally access health care worthy of a first-world nation. After we fix our economy, I look forward to supporting new healthcare initiatives to continue bringing high-quality healthcare to those who need it the most, and I will seek support from Congress for these efforts.

3. Former President Trump already wasted taxpayer money to build unneeded fencing when a smarter, high-tech solution was present. Especially given the economic state our country is in, spending further money to remove border fencing is highly inappropriate - no matter the moral arguments that other Democrats make. Every taxpayer dollar available should be used to help end this recession.

4. I have a ton of respect for Joe, both as a person and as President. He has had a long and highly productive career serving the American people, and maintained his image as a centrist even in an era of extreme polarization. While the continuing recession is certainly a stain on his legacy, it is certainly not for lack of trying.

5. I have nothing to say regarding my fellow Democratic candidates, but I would like to commend Senator Hawley for pledging not to run negative ads. While we disagree sharply on many issues, positivity is a critical asset in such a dark time. I also pledge to refrain from running negative ads, and I hope fellow Democrats will do the same.

6. The recession that began in 2022 still continues today, despite the best efforts of President Biden to meditate a compromise. Despite his shortcomings, now is not the time to nominate someone who shuns the spirit of bipartisanship; if our next president is too radical, creating a long-lasting and effective solution will be nearly impossible due to congressional deadlock. As President, I will actively push Congress to aid America's people by putting aside party affiliation to kickstart the recovery process. Once we end this recession, the future is bright; we can improve our nation's infrastructure by finishing road and train projects (such as Nevada's Interstate 11), we can further expand healthcare and aid to the needy and disabled, and we can cure the pervasive partisan climate that has plagued us since the election of Donald Trump. I hope to lead American into that future. Thank you for your time.
