Come from behind? He has hardly been subject to any serious attack throughout the entire game. He seems to have played the diplomatic game deftly again, fooling his oppents into not attacking him.

Come from behind? He has hardly been subject to any serious attack throughout the entire game. He seems to have played the diplomatic game deftly again, fooling his oppents into not attacking him.

So the combined offensive against Fezzy by Sensei and myself counts for nothing, then?  I would have crushed him had: 1. The Mikado not been destroyed, enabling Ernest to consolidate his position in the West unimpeded; and 2. had Ernest not attacked me from the west, depriving me of sole control over the Midwest. 

There is little doubt in my mind that Ernest and Fezzy have been in collusion, at least since Fezzy looked like he had his back to the wall, and possibly much earlier.

No collusion on my part.  My attacks on Missouri had been mainly because they were the easiest way for me to get to Tennessee at the time.  Had my initial attempt at least gotten Tennessee, I'd be in a lot better position now, instead of merely attempting survival.
