As I said earlier, I love the design of the facade on stage, very neo-classical, nazi-esque.  All the people cheering exact same thing, and columns and stadium atmosphere really take me back to Nuremberg in 1936.
Stupidity alert, stupidity alert!

"He had a childhood like any one elses'."

No he didn't!

Anyway, quick, McCain should announce his VP right now!

Mccain won't because he's not a douche, unlike you.

F UCK YOU.  Have a sense of humor, meathead.
Not funny but still he didn't need to call you a douche.

Nah it was appropriate.

I'm starting to think that this choice of venue was a mistake, and not of rthe reasons I joke about.  The size of the venue actually makes the whole thing seem underwhelming.

Eight is Enough?

Are you serious?

They are resorting to ripping off a stupid 1980's show title?

What was that chant the audience was doing earlier?

BTW: "I'm not willing to take a 10% chance on change."  = Pure win

Good use of the "nation of whiners" quote, this was the best place to bring it up.  Also, effective flip of that economic adviser's quote to McCain.

Also, good use of flipping the elitism charge on McCain right now.

Well, I guess given the choice between not being very funny and not being very smart, I'm glad that, of the two of us, I chose the better option.

It wasn't supposed to be "HAHA" funny.  It was supposed to be sardonically funny.  I guess there reaches a point when you become so rabidly idiotic partisan that you can't tell when someone's not being serious.  I thought the "!" would aid in that.

From a purely objective standpoint, this stadium thing isn't nearly as amazing as everyone thought it would be.

Here comes the Clinton praise.

From a purely objective standpoint, this stadium thing isn't nearly as amazing as everyone thought it would be.

It did what it was supposed to: get 80,000 people watching the speech rather than 20,000.  60,000 more people will go home having seen this speech.

Obama is an elitist for mentioning that his mother was on food stamps.

I've been in college for 6 years now... who are these students who sleep just three hours before the night shift?  99% of everyone I ever met in college was either constantly studying or lazy... or they are lazy and using their free time to campaigning for liberal causes.

Ugh, I got home late and haven't eaten, so I'm probably going to save watching the speech for right now and wait to view it later.  If anyone actually cares what my commentary on it is... Tongue

Visuals need him to, looking at people, talking to people.  The crowd is to far away to see their faces.

He just lost the Ayn Rand vote.

As was said, 60,000 more people get to see it... but most of those people were voting for Obama anyway.  To those of us at home, the emptiness of the thing makes it look less impressive and sound less impressive.

The speech is lack luster for Obama.  All he has done is attack McCain... plug in platform speech line... attack Bush... repeat.
