Incumbent Republican Governor Sonny Perdue leads potential Democratic challengers Secretary of State Cathy Cox by 49% to 41% and Lt. Governor Mark Taylor 51% to 41%.

The telephone survey of 500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports March 15, 2006. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.5 percentage points at the midpoint with a 95% level of confidence
