About this Poll

No Traction for KY Governor Fletcher as Campaign Moves into Final Week: In an election for Governor of Kentucky today, 10/30/07, one week to the vote, Democrats remain as they have been for 5 months, poised for a take-away in the Kentucky Governor's contest. The Democratic ticket of Steve Beshear and Dan Mongiardo is at 60%, the incumbent Republican ticket of Ernie Fletcher and Robbie Rudolph is at 36%. Results are almost identical to a SurveyUSA poll released in July, which also had Fletcher at 36%. In 7 SurveyUSA tracking polls released since May, Fletcher has never polled above 40%, Beshear has never polled lower than 56%. Beshear today leads by 38 points among women. 1,000 KY adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 10/27/07 through 10/29/07. Of them, 915 were registered to vote. Of them, 562 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote.
