The poll was commissioned by Bernard Rappaport of Waco, TX. Rappaport is the founder of the American Income Life Insurance Company and has been a major donor to Democratic candidates. It was conducted from August 24-28, 2010 and included 803 likely voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.5 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups. Samples are randomly drawn from telephone cds of national listed sample. Zogby International surveys employ sampling strategies in which selection probabilities are proportional to population size within area codes and exchanges.
