Which one of the following Democratic candidates would be your first choice for president? (Among those who don't volunteer a first choice) Toward which candidate would you say you are leaning, or would say you support the most? And who would your second choice be? Do you have a third choice?

Joe Biden. Hillary Clinton. Christopher Dodd. John Edwards. Mike Gravel. Dennis Kucinich. Barack Obama. Bill Richardson.

Obama 32%
Clinton 25%
Edwards 24%
Richardson 6%
Biden 4%
Dodd 2%
Kucinich 1%
Gravel -
Not Sure/Uncommitted 6%

It is also the only recent poll of Iowa caucusgoers showing Obama with a lead larger than the survey's margin of sampling error, which is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

It think the Des Moines Register is a credible paper when it comes to Iowa. When you take away ARG which is polling this race almost daily, this is largely consistent with recent trends. Expect Clinton to finish third.preciction Map
