Poll Demographics

About this Poll
Filtering: 2,800 New York state adults were interviewed 01/09/08 through 01/10/08. Of them, 2,477 were registered to vote. Of them, 957 were identified by SurveyUSA as likely to vote in a Democratic Primary. The New York Primary is "closed," which means that, unlike Iowa and New Hampshire where Independents could be included, only registered Democrats may vote. In January 2000, Hillary Clinton moved to New York. In November 2000, Clinton was elected United States Senator from New York. To this extent, New York is Clinton's home state. Half of these interviews were conducted before Bill Richardson withdrew from the race, half were conducted after.
