About this Poll
The study was conducted for CNN by SSRS with a representa8ve sample of registered voters in South Carolina. SSRS is an independent research company. Surveys were obtained online (n=848) and by telephone (n=292) for a total sample of n=1,140, from October 18-25, 2023. The margin of sampling error for total registered voters is +/- 3.9 at the 95% confidence level. The design effect is 1.80. The study includes an oversample of Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters in order to reach a total of 738 likely Republican primary voters. For results among likely Republican primary voters, the margin of sampling error is +/- 4.8. The oversample of Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters was weighted to its proper size within results for the full popula8on of registered voters.
