About this Poll

Wilson Research Strategies conducted a research study of likely General Election voters throughout the state of Ohio via a live telephone operator interview October 20-21, 2010. The study has a sample size of n=500 likely General Election voters. The margin of error is equal to ±4.4% in 95 out of 100 cases.

WRS selected a random sample of likely general election voters from the Ohio voter file using Registration Based Sampling (RBS). RBS is an innovative method of stratifying samples based on a set of demographic and behavioral characteristics. The sample for this survey was stratified based on age, gender, ethnicity, partisan primary vote history, and geography. This methodology allows us to avoid or minimize post-survey “weighting” which can reduce the reliability of survey results.
