The poll of 917 likely South Carolina voters was commissioned by The Post and Courier's Palmetto Politics coverage, WCIV ABC News 4 in Mount Pleasant and other media news partners. It was conducted by Voter Survey Service, a division of Susquehanna Polling and Research of Harrisburg, Pa.

The margin of error is plus or minus 3.24 percentage points, meaning the poll has a 95 percent confidence level.
