Ford is gaining momentum.

Minnesota and Michigan have lost their competitive status.

Tempted to move PA into strong since Romanelli declared ineligible, but will keep it as lean for now.

MO - Definition of tossup

VA - Slightly favored Allen but not enough for lean GOP; Allen strangely handled his Jewish heritage

NJ - Still think Menendez will hold on due to Democratic leanings

CT - Lieberman's lead has all but evaporated.

MT - Will be strong in next prediction if things continue

RI - Chafee will be hurt by Laffey voters who will stay home

OH - Race is staying the same, with Brown having the lead. Ohio GOP is the worst in the country, and it will be a Dem sweep in Ohio this year: Gov, Sen, Sec of State, auditor, treasurer.

Version: 8

Made Virginia a tossup as a result of the latest SurveyUSA poll, showing Allen leading Webb by just 48% to 45%. This is consistent with a recent Rasmussen poll. Allen's mouth may have finally caught up to him.

Version: 5

I might change the confidence level in Connecticut in accordance with the next Rasmussen or Quinnipiac poll.

In Rhode Island, if Chafee wins the primary, I think that Whitehouse will win by a few points. If Laffey wins the primary, I think the race will be a landslide, and this race will be largely forgotten.

As for New Jersey, Missouri, and Ohio, we'll just have to wait and see. However, at this point, I think they are all leaning Democratic.

Looks good. That is the likely outcome today, if the polling is accurate.prediction Map

I need a serious answer here. Does anyone know if you have to spell a write-in candidate's name correctly? The reason I ask is TX-22.prediction Map

Yes, you do. Even if the hyphen in Sekula-Gibbs is missing, the vote is discounted.prediction Map

Everyone who is sick and tired of Republican corruption and abuse of power, hail SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI. Woohoo!prediction Map

I am sick and tired of the Republican corruption in the executive branch. They are running this country like a banana republic. Since when does the President have the authority to take the nation to war? This whole Iraq War is unconstitutional. Bush acts like a dictator of the Banana Republic of the United States of America.prediction Map

Just a quick recap of November 7:

Democrats win the House by about the same margin that Republicans previously had it.

Democrats win the Senate 51-49 (CNN and MSNBC have both projected Tester the winner; Allen can't overcome a 7,000-vote deficit. The not-yet-counted ballots are mostly from Fairfax County (Dem stronghold). BTW, VA has both a Dem Governor and Sec of State.)

Democrats win 6 Governorships.

Congratulations to everyone who predicted the election correctly! Hope to see you all in about 1.5 years!
