Summary

The 2008 election left the composure of the Washington State House of Representatives largely unchanged with a 62-36 Democratic majority. While the Democratic Party won with the same 62-36 majority in 2006, it had gained a 63rd seat when Republican Fred Jarrett switched parties in 2007.
