Out of the current field (which I believe is just you and Xahar) I would give you my first and only preference.

I don't think Voldemort is a candidate in this election.

I want to thank the people of the Pacific for electing me Governor, and assure them that I will try my best to lead our great region to a bright future.

I'll probably write a speech when I'm coming home from holiday, and will start to work with the council on our work - writing the second stimulus and drafting a budget.

Thank you all

In what way does this contribute to the alleged failing of our region?

The excess of offices is so great that offices are literally being given away to whoever asks for one.

The Pacific is the region with the lowest number of offices. What would you propose? Combine Governor and Speaker or what?
Plus, I think you're the last person that is to complain over the failing of the Pacific.

A notification to the people of the Pacific:
Distributed by the office of Pacific Governor Theodore Cranberry

Xahar, a notable Pacific citizen just recently called our "excess of offices" the reason for the "failing" of our region. Without thinking too much I negated his claims, especially since I personally consider his very own plan to destroy the Regional Government a much bigger reason for the "failing" of our region. On second though though, I had to admit that Mr Xahar was not entirely wrong. Yes, we in the Pacific have indeed to much offices to fill. When I think back to the legislature sessions I have participated in, we seldomly had a discussion, and just days ago I had problems with filling my old, vacant Council seat, and thought of asking veterans like Oakvale for help. Luckiliy we found a replacement, yet I have already heart of at least one councillor that he wants to retire after this term, putting us at the same situation again.
It seems that the Pacific just does not get out of its dark pit. A merger with the Midwest is an often discussed solution, and while I certainly would not oppose this, I am a proponent of trying other, more or less new things to increase engagement and activity in our region, and maybe put the Pacific back on its own feet, without mergering with the Midwest. I have some ideas in my mind, and today, I outlined the first of these here. The amendment to our constitution would abolish the Pacific Council, and replace it with an Universal Legislature, currently with the working title "Pacific Universal Convention". Maybe such an universal legislature could help increasing activity and engagement in regional politics, which the Pacific desperately needs. It is up to you, citizens of the Pacific!

Despite the gratuitous slander perpetrated against me, this would be preferable to the status quo. However, the Pacific region had a universal legislature in the past, and it was also plagued with inactivity and dominated by the two or three people who bothered to vote.
