Bushie ought to consider applying for an Oklahoma's execution team. Apparently, no skills nor training are required.

I can feel those hot leads from here! Ouchies! That's hot

Just take a brief relaxation, bro.

The stress i'm under even makes those less enjoyable than they once were, even when I'm not alone.

I know, I'm in such a bad place right now.

For the third straight day, I have scored an interview in the closing moments of the business day! I just got back from dinner with my parents at El Chico, but when I walked in the door of my apartment, it was 16:55, and I got a call from a recruiter in midtown Tulsa who had not one, but two positions open that she wanted to talk to me about. So, I have an interview with her Monday at 14:30 to discuss both of these positions. One position is customer support with State Farm and the other is an administrative assistant. That means I have an interview at 13:00 Monday, this two-for interview at 14:30 Monday, and one more Tuesday at 15:00.

The customer support at State Farm is positively dreadful. You may have a shot with them.

Will you list your prior foray into "insurance" as experience?

She said it would pay $10-$12, which is not great, but it's something.  The Admin Assistant would pay $12 an hour.  Oddly enough, the drafting job I will interview for on Tuesday would pay $12, as well.

Is there some sort of Iron Law of Wages in effect in Oklahoma that prevents you all from making more than $12 an hour?

I know people who didn't go to college and work in kiosks at the mall who make more per hour than that.

Not at all, it's just a coincidence that all three of these jobs are right around $12.00 an hour.  There are plenty of jobs that pay more than that.  You also have to keep in mind, Oklahoma has one of the lowest costs of living in the country.  I think OKC may have a slightly lower cost of living than Tulsa, but they're both are refreshingly low.

I take that back, OKC is slightly higher than Tulsa as shown by this link:  I put in $25,000, because that's what $12.00/hr equates to.

A man who struggles to hold any job can't be expected to make >$12/hr. Baby steps.

Bushie, I'm curious. What questions do they often ask you during the interview?

I'd like Our Dear Friend to turn on ABC right now and give us his thoughts on Brazil vs. Chile in the 2014 FIFA (TM) World Cup.

A lot of the interviews have been behavioral or situational type questions, like "tell me a time that you had to deal with an irate customer.  What did you do?"  They have asked other very similar questions, but worded slightly differently.  I've had few strengths and weaknesses questions, surprisingly.

I'm watching a more exciting game - Chicago White Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays.

If this match goes to penalty kicks, you are to switch channels for a grand total of five minutes. That's an order.

You could watch an entire WC game with extra time and penalty kicks and still have enough time to catch the 6th inning+ of that game.

Sorry you didn't get to go to the aquarium, Jeff.

Mom asked me if I wanted to go, but I passed to let her and Dad have a date day together.  I joined them for dinner last evening and this evening.
