This is just great. The list keeps growing and growing. These people have supported and defended Trump for months and now they are realizing what those opposed to him have realized all along. This is what is wrong with the GOP--they oppose all the wrong things and support all the wrong things.

Which is also why they deserve no respect. As you say, they have realized this all along. The only reason they are speaking out now is due to a fear of their own careers being in jeopardy.

In their defense, any GOP member that spoke out against Trump was vilified. You have to go along with the party or else, you are considered a RINO.

It'll take me some time to sort out the updates to the list in the OP.  The issue is that there are different categories here:

1) People who are #NeverTrump, as in they're not voting for Trump in November.
2) People who haven't (yet) said they'll back him, but haven't ruled out deciding to back him by election day.
3) People who say he should drop out in favor of Pence.  At first glance, you might think this implies #1, but saying that the party would be better off if Trump quit isn't the same as saying that you still won't vote for him if he doesn't quit.

In any case, I'm only tracking people in category 1, because otherwise the list is too long to keep track of.

Just say it you coward, you're voting for Clinton.

Kasich trying to swoop in with the moral high ground after his previous sexist comments. Jeez oh man.

Pretty good list, though it only seems to include people who've put out statements on this in the last ~24 hours.  So it doesn't include folks like Charlie Baker, who's been #NeverTrump for many months, and hasn't added any new reaction to the public record following the events of yesterday.  So you'd need to combine this list with the list in the OP of this thread, if you want to capture all the #NeverTrump people.

There is precedent for replacing a candidate this late in the cycle in a Senate race (Lautenberg replacing Torricelli in Jersey in 2002). Never in a presidential race though

You can't really use the phrase 'the knives are out' can you, as almost all of these people never actually supported him in the first place.

On the other hand, campaign law in Missouri didn't allow Mel Carnahan to be replaced on the ballot when he passed away around this time in 2000. If Trump dropped out and Republicans wanted to replace him with Pence on the ballot, it would cause a huge clusterf**k. There would probably be many lawsuits across many states, ballots would have to be reprinted, and they would probably lose Trump's core support either way.
