How very delicate.

Well at least they're not feigning concern and bravery like Mediocre Mittens, Silent Susan, Fake Jeff Flake, Lyen' Lisa Murkowski, Little Marco, or Bumbling Ben Sasse.

Most of our recent Republican posters are trolls or impressionable underage kids.
I really wish sometimes that Phil, Inks, and Torie were back.

Well, Torie left the GOP, and Inks has posted 5 times in the last 24 hours:

If more Republicans in congress and across state houses were more like OSR or badger, it would be a blessing for America and the world.

I thought Torie switched registration because the Democratic primaries are the only meaningful elections where he lives now.

While I agree with your overall point I doubt if Badger and I were both in Congress we would be part of the same party since we disagree on probably at least 90% of the issues. We could have a good working relationship though and get bipartisan bills passed .

I thought Torie switched registration because the Democratic primaries are the only meaningful elections where he lives now.

That may be the specific reason for legally changing his registration, but he said repeatedly that he thought Trump was unfit to be president, and says he voted for Clinton over Trump:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=251614.msg5387356#msg5387356

Whether he's pro-impeachment over the issue of Ukraine or not, I don't know.  For all I know, he might have some legalistic reason for opposing it.  But he's no fan of Trump.

What do you want people to say?

If they say something that can be taken as remotely pro-impeachment, the lefties will seize on it and loudly use it as ammunition for a more extreme position.

If they say something that can be taken as remotely skeptical of any specific argument for impeachment, the lefties will instantly dismiss its validity and call the righties incalcitrant pro-Trump hacks.

Between Greta and Ukraine insanity, I have lost interest in US General Discussion. I have found a much better forum for discussing the day-to-day issues with normal people not completely blinded by partisan fairy tales. Will very much still be here for the election data analysis and OT, but this was my tipping point in arguing with people who hate America. There are much better resources out there for getting and discussing the news. I stand 1000% with the President doing whatever he wants in diplomacy. If prior presidents were not doing this, then they are weak people who failed to fight for America. Impeachment is a laughable option.

There's nothing you can do to defend him on this other than outright lie so all they can do is hide or try to change the subject. This isn't Fox, you can't get away with that.

If I were a Republican, I wouldn't want to waste brain-cells trying to defend this imbecile either especially after everything that just happened.  Trump is going to destroy his presidency, and time is fast approaching to cut him loose and let him sink.

Their highest priority is how to let him do that with the least amount of harm to Vice President Mike Pence's prospects of winning the Presidency in 2020.  And seen from their perspective, he's not that bad.  He clicks all their boxes, and is essentially stable and sane, and even intelligent.  Sure he's a bit quirky as far as being around other women, but still he's a great relief if you're a Republican weary of Trump's antics.

Yes, it is.

Now come back and make an actual argument. Oh what's that? You can't?
