LOL, the dude's net worth on Forbes is now 64.2 billion (link). It was 62.8 billion last week and 61.8 billion last month. He's spending 380 million dollars since November and his net worth increases week by week? Ugh.

He enjoys Trump's stock market!  Angry

Bloomberg Bankrolls a Social-Media Army to Push Message
Campaign is hiring workers for $2,500 per month to promote Bloomberg to all their contacts
Quote
Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign is hiring hundreds of workers in California to post regularly on their personal social-media accounts in support of the candidate and send text messages to their friends about him.

The effort, which could cost millions of dollars, is launching ahead of California’s March 3 primary and could later be deployed nationwide, according to people familiar with the matter and documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. It is one of the most unorthodox yet by the heavy-spending billionaire and blurs the lines between traditional campaign organizing and the distribution of sponsored content.

Most campaigns encourage their supporters to post on social media about their candidates, but paying them at this scale to express support on their personal accounts is unusual, experts say.

A California staffer and the documents reviewed by the Journal describe a multimillion-dollar-a-month effort aimed at helping Mr. Bloomberg attract support after having entered the race long after other candidates had built their ground campaigns. The documents also say the campaign is adopting a strategy, which it credits the Trump campaign with using to great effect, to try to influence potential voters through people they know and trust rather than strangers.

To staff the effort, the campaign is hiring more than 500 “deputy digital organizers” to work 20 to 30 hours a week and receive $2,500 a month, the documents show. In exchange, those workers are expected to promote Mr. Bloomberg to everyone in their phones’ contacts by text each week and make social-media posts supporting him daily, the documents show.

“The Fight for Equal Rights Has Been One of the Great Fights of Mike’s Life,” reads one such suggested prompt regarding Mr. Bloomberg’s early support for same-sex marriage.

Publicly available job applications for those positions require applicants to provide their social-media handles for review and state that staffers may be asked to undertake more traditional field-organizing work like phone banking.

Helping organize the effort is Outvote, an app that enables users to send pre-written texts, post campaign materials to social media and send data back to campaigns. The app, funded by Higher Ground Labs, a Democratic political technology incubator, generally focuses on pushing volunteers to send content. Outvote also allows users to look up whether their friends have voted in past elections by matching their contact lists against public data.

Examples of messages that the Bloomberg campaign suggests supporters send to their friends via OutVote, an app the campaign is paying workers to use.

Warren and Biden have BOTH had digital ads with President Obama singing their praises. Bloomberg isn't being misleading or spreading fake news. He knows just like the others that voters are stupid and take things at face value. Biden is just hating because he doesn't have the resources to blanket Super Tuesday with ads of Obama lavishing praise on him. It is what it is.

That video about African American & Latino youth was horrible but no-one cares about Bloomberg being an outright racist only because he is a Democrat.

That video about African American & Latino youth was horrible but no-one cares about Bloomberg being an outright racist only because he is a Democrat.

That clip is so dishonest since it leaves out the context. Bloomberg was talking about his Young Men’s Initiative, an initiative to help aid minority youth. From that clip, it sounds like Bloomberg was talking about all young minorities, but that’s not the case. He said that his initiative was meant to help young minorities who “  "don't have jobs, don't have any prospects, don't know how to find jobs, don't know what their skillsets are, don't know how to behave in the workplace where they have to work collaboratively and collectively.”

Again, I don’t know why far-left Twitter keeps on having to lie in order to attack Bloomberg. There are many, many lines of attack against Bloomberg that are factually accurate.

Again, I don’t know why far-left Twitter keeps on having to lie in order to attack Bloomberg. There are many, many lines of attack against Bloomberg that are factually accurate.

This.  Flooding the internet with lies worked against Clinton, Harris, Biden, etc. because they didn't have the resources to push back.  Bloomberg can simply saturate the media with "here's the truth."

Far-left Twitter can't help themselves, they always pick the attack that appears most extreme or most damaging regardless of how effective it is.  So if you could take an out of context quote and make it seem like Bloomberg was saying "Kill the Jews" you'd do it, because it's the most extreme/damaging, even though any idiot would watch the clip and know it's missing context since Bloomberg is a Jew.

It would be awesome if Joe's last great act of public service & major public appearance was to slay a billionaire oligarch at tonight's debate.

Difference being between a frontrunner and somebody who's done; between attacking somebody who'd earn you "Racist! Sexist!" labels for three-quarters of what could be said versus somebody who has absolutely nothing behind which to hide. Joe could call him a "rich little f[inks]king midget-twerp GWB lookalike" and he has absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

Mike is a ghoul and hopefully all the candidates make sure voters know exactly who this clown is. He's bought his way into every office, is corrupt to the bone (got rid of term limits in NYC), is racist (look at comments), is sexist (look at comments), and is opposed to the Democratic agenda in most respects. His nomination would be a significant setback for anyone who believes in anything Obama/Clinton/Sanders ran on.

Yes and IIRC Biden even let footage of him praising Upton be used in ads when Upton was facing the toughest race of his career.  Upton won by like 2-3% Angry

If any of them want to be the nominee, they should be attacking Sanders, not each other. If they can't stop the Sanders train, nothing else matters.

They are under the mistaken impression that there is a "moderate lane" and that if they can just knock out the other moderate candidates, then they will consolidate the "non-Bernie" vote and win. It makes sense if you believe that is true. Unfortunately for them, polling shows clearly that it is not true.

Bernie Sanders called for Obama to be primaried. Don't try to wrap him up in Obama's legacy because y'all are scared that Bloomberg will keep your fave from an outright majority of delegates.

How dare anyone call for the primary-ing of a President. It's scary that people think their side shouldn't be questioned, and any pushing is the work of Russian spies and people with horrible motives. Bloomberg doesn't believe in the ideals Obama believed in. Unless Obama believes in literally buying an election?
