This is a terrible lesson. The lesson here is that Democrats shouldnt be Liberal or talk about anything that could be Liberal in the slightest. We are trying to move away from that philosophy, it hasnt served us well at all.

Yeah, this is the exact opposite of the lesson Dems should learn from 2016.

Lol. So now apparently Ojeda is a fired up Manchin volunteer. Nice to finally see him aboard the Manchin machine.

Does Ojeda have some sort of objection toward wearing a collared shirt and tie, or dressing respectably?

Proof of Manchin’s strength, even over Ojeda.

Will he show up to congressional hearings in a tee shirt?

Lol https://hotair.com/archives/2018/09/17/emerson-west-virginia-almost-heaven-trump-joe-manchin/

Looks like Manchin has the slight edge for reelection. So do yall think he and other red state dems if they win will get to be more aggressive, left wing, and stand up to Trump more if reelected?

probably, that is what usually happens. Heitkamp was a Liberal Dem, and voting the same as Warren for 3 years.

I would say he has much more than a "slight edge". The race has been Likely D for awhile now, no?

I'm bearish with him and this state because I feel like there might be a Trump surge at the last minute, but I'm back to having him as the narrow favorite for now.

Yes, and firearm to head, I think he wins 2 outta 3 districts, with him ever so narrowly losing Mooney's district, but he could very well carry all three.

If he's winning statewide, he's winning WV-03. That's the most ancestrally Dem part of the state.

Definitely. Unlike blue state Republicans, red state Democrats can get away with that.

He will definitely win WV3 even if he loses statewide; read Monmouth Poll's article on the race.
There is a likely chance that Manchin wins the district by more than 10% or even around 20%.
This will definitely help Ojeda.

One thing I like about this battle in WV, meaning senate, house, and local offices all together, is that it is a great experiment and unity opportunity for the democratic party, and a prime time and place to bring the Zaybays and Bagels and all the dems inbetween and to the left and right together to give the Republicans a hell of a fight in the state.

Im not even that far on the Left, especially compared to others on this forum..., but I do agree with your sentiment, though that could be applied to 2018 in general, not just WV.
