I would like to know why Hashemite placed DWTL before Fritz on his preferences... Huh

Fritz supports the status-quo even more than DWTL. He isn't anywhere close to a reformist.

Ok, thanks for explanations. Smiley I saw you weren't very motivated for the election since you chose Marchais as first preference ! Cheesy
Gael has a necrophiliac mancrush on Marchais.

Someone should be really desperate to vote for people like Marchais and Royer...

So... I'd post an update if I could be bothered to check everybody's party registration.

I think Fritz probably got the most first preferences of any candidate in any election.

So I'm the only one of the two major parties who broke ranks? That's kinda sad.

Well be proud of your political independence Smiley

I also would not doubt I got the most votes of any losing candidate Tongue

You got more than 41? Cause that's what I had when I lost.

Ah, that makes sense. I remember hearing that there were more people in Atlasia back in early 2005 than there are now.

I know you can't legally put NOTA in the middle of a ticket, but what's the precedent with dealing with people who do again? (A vote with first pref. NOTA doesn't travel, obviously.)

I know any pref.s before the NOTA are valid, but what with pref.s below? Could theoretically matter with Gustaf's vote. I know there's a precedent, I just forget what it is.

I'm sure there are many precedents (which I haven't bothered to look up), but I'd be very surprised if any non-1st preference NOTAs haven't simply been ignored.

I believe NOTA means "read up through here and then stop".  At least, that's how I cast my ballot.

That explains the result

DWTL got a higher percent of the vote in the Mideast than the Southeast.

Yeah that really, really surprised me.  I was shocked to see how good I did in the Mideast, but even more shocked at the lack of votes in the Dirty South.  Although a lot of voters did not show up.

Pre-Tmth, it was a respectable region. Now it's become The Dirty South 2.0.

Its honestly not that conservative, I'd hardly call Franzl, Benconstine, or PurpleState hardcore conservatives if any of them are conservatives at all.

When I first came to Atlasia, it was arguably the most leftist region. Why am I not surprised you'd find that more respectable than its current state of affairs? Tongue

The Midwest and Northeast were faily good for DWTL as well. Both within 10 points. The only lanslide Region for Fritz was in the Pacific. While DWTL had 2 and the race was competative in 2 more. Not a bad showing at all.

We aren't really conservative. But a lot of new RPP members came to the Mideast in the recent influx. Also, a number of DA members, while hardly conservative (myself left-leaning) respect DWTL as an effective and amusing citizen and enjoyed his time as Senator.
