2016 House of Representatives Endorsements (fivethirtyeight.com)

Red - Hillary Clinton
Pink - Bernie Sanders
Green - Marco Rubio
Yellow - Ted Cruz
Purple - John Kasich
Brown - Ben Carson
Orange - Donald Trump
Blue - Michael Bloomberg
Wait who endorsed Bloomberg???

Nobody, but I like having those eight names up there just because those are the eight people with an actual chance of winning the presidency and hence the potential to gain congressional endorsements. Tongue

But what about Carson?

He landed the coveted Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) endorsement.

Bob Dole is endorsing Rubio (if it hasn't been posted already).

I thought the opposite had happened. Tongue

King also hasn't endorsed her but he is independent.

Bernie Sanders finally gets another endorsement... but it's only by the only Congressman in Vermont, where Sanders has a 76 point lead. Tongue

Announced this weekend:
http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/story/news/politics/2016/02/19/rep-peter-welch-supports-bernie-sanders/80614844/

So, will we see anyone else from Congress (or a Governor) endorse Sanders in the primaries?

Reid isn't endorsing because he is the Dem Senate Leader (he didn't endorse Obama until after Hillary called it quits), but Reid did help Hillary win Nevada so that's kind of all that matters.

Tester is head of the DSCC and perhaps he feels he shouldn't pick sides as he is in charge of recruiting candidates and winning the Senate.

Menendez is under federal indictment so no one wants his endorsement.

So Merkley and Warren are really the only ones left in play. My bet is Warren is going to not endorse (or at least not until late in the game when it doesn't matter anymore). If Sanders has a chance at any Senators it would be Merkley, but other progressives have bent to the will of The Clinton so you never know.

Yes, Clinton has gained thirty-nine endorsements from the Senate so far and there are forty-six members of the Democratic caucus, so that leaves seven left - Sanders, King, Merkley, Warren, Tester, Reid, and Menendez. Reid and Tester's leadership positions are probably preventing them from endorsing anyone and Menendez is probably refraining from endorsing due to his potential indictment, so that leaves three (not including Sanders, of course). While King isn't a superdelegate due to his Independent status, his endorsement will still probably be substantially helpful to either candidate in Maine. Warren is probably in the most powerful position right now because she still somewhat exerts control over the Sanders wing of the party, but I'm not sure whether she will endorse while the primary is still competitive. Merkley could help out Sanders much more than he could Clinton, but it isn't guaranteed that he'll endorse at all anytime soon.

How do these people feel after seeing the guy they endorsed being utterly obliterated by TRUMP in their own backyard?

He didn't really endorse Rubio as such.  He just said he voted for Rubio, but that he didn't classify it as an "endorsement".  I have no idea how that makes any sense, but I guess if it's primary/caucus day in your state, and you haven't endorsed anyone yet, what do you do?  Refuse to vote?  Vote, but then insist to the media that you're not going to tell them who you voted for?
