Brett Baier : "Hello Everyone and Welcome to Fox News’ Coverage of the special elections in Kentucky's 2nd and 6th Congressional District, two races that can determine the House's future thus far."

Martha MacCullum : "That is correct, Brett. While Kentucky's 2nd is considered between safe and likely Republican, as well as Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District, which will be held in a few days, but the closest race is likely to be Kentucky's 6th Congressional District, where State Representative Stan Lee battles CNN Reporter Pamela Brown. It is currently 6 PM in the East and currently, the polls have closed in Kentucky. Currently, State Representative Suzanne Miles leads State Representative Jim Glenn by around 20 points while State Representative Lee leads Brown by around 8 Points. We'll give the final news of each race once we can call it for sure."

Martha MacCullum : "It is now 8 PM in the East and we can project that Stan Lee will barely defeat his opponent, Pamela Brown, by 0.6 % in a tight race. That means that the Republicans will continue to hold on to their slim 219-216 majority in the House, though some other districts that are up for grabs in the next few months could change that. Anyways, goodnight everyone and we hope you tune in to watch Fox News' Coverage of the New Hampshire Primary."

Brett Baier : "Hello Everyone and Welcome to Fox News’ Coverage of the 2024 New Hampshire Presidential Primaries. Tonight, the state of New Hampshire votes for who they will support at the conventions."

Martha MacCullum : "A very anticipated night for all six of the main candidates for President this year. For the Republicans, it looks to be a total change from 8 years ago, when then Senator Marco Rubio was struck a crippling blow in the debate by then New Jersey Governor and current Solicitor General Chris Christie, causing the beginning of the end for his Presidential campaign in 2016. Now however, the tides have turned with the incumbent Vice President leading his opponents by nearly double digit margins from recent polling. An impressive turn around."

Brett Baier : "At the same time, for the Democrats, a bitter struggle has erupted between Senators Duckworth and Merkley, with Merkley leading by 9 points in recent polling. The absence of Governor Cuomo from the campaign trail is likely a major reason for Merkley's sudden boost in the North. It is currently 7 PM and the first polls have closed. Currently, Marco Rubio leads his closest opponent Ivan Rodriguez by 19 % while Merkley Duckworth by 12 %. Remember, these are early results, so expect some changes as the night goes on."

Martha MacCullum : "Very interesting results from both fields so far. While it might look like we can call them both, we'll have to wait until all polls in the granite state close at 8 PM. Keep watching because the coverage will continue after these messages."

Brett Baier : "Welcome back, everyone. It is currently 8 PM and we can at least make one projection for New Hampshire"

Martha MacCullum : "Indeed, Brett. Just like how Governor Noem easily sweeped the Iowa Caucuses, Vice President Rubio will defeat his closest opponent in New Hampshire, Ivan Rodriguez, with 53 % of the vote to Ivan 29 %. The Vice President's goal here was to win more than 60 % of the vote in New Hampshire, but it looks like more of the undecideds from the polling leading up to the voting. Delegates will be sorted once the last of the votes come in."

Brett Baier : "When we look at the Democrats, however, we can see a different story. Merkley's lead has collapsed and now he barely leads Duckworth 42 % to 39 %. If this continues, Senator Duckworth could pull off a surprise and win New Hampshire.

Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen Speak to Supporters at Watch Party in Manchester

“Thank you all for joining us to watch the first primary in the nation! In spite of what all of the pundits said, Tammy is still in this. Right now, the race may be too close to call, but regardless of who wins, we are so fired up to see you all come out and support our friend and colleague, Tammy. I know she is watching as intently as the rest of us, and is excited to join all of us once the results are all in. Yet again, we can help make history by supporting the first woman president of the United States!”

For the Republicans, the count is 15 for Rubio, 7 for Rodriguez, and 4 for Noem, giving the Vice President a bare lead in the delegate count for now. Marco Rubio’s Victory Speech in Manchester, New Hampshire

Source : https://www.wlrn.org/post/10-things-you-should-know-about-marco-rubio

Thank you, very much! Thank you, New Hampshire! Thank you for bringing us first in the finish line in the first primary in the nation!

You know, it took us a while, but what's eight years among friends? (Referring to Rubio’s debate performance against Chris Christie in the debate prior to the 2016 New Hampshire primary)

This is a great and remarkable comeback. I never saw such an exciting night. This is a such a strong and great victory that you gave us tonight. By winning so big in New Hampshire, we have proven tonight that I’m the only one in this race who can unite the Republican Party, bring the conservative movement together, appeal among independent and undecided voters and lead our party to victory in November to pursue the progress of the last 8 years that gave us the strongest economy and steady national security.

You know, for most of the time in modern history, the winner of the New Hampshire Republican primary has gone on to win the White House in November. Because New Hampshire picks Presidents. And the people of New Hampshire understood that I have the right experience, record, leadership and qualifications to lead this country. Fulfilling America’s promise and facing our challenges requires strong leadership. No wonder that New Hampshire is called the Granite State because it is so hard to crack. We are hard to crack and we won’t back down against any threat facing America.

My friends, a few hours ago, we learned that Alaska Senator Don Young died in a plane crash. Let’s have a moment of silence to pray for him and honor his memory.

[Rubio and his supporters close their eyes as a way to pray during their moment of silence]

Senator Young was a great legislator. I thank him for his service and everything he has done for this country and I wish the best for his family.

New Hampshire, you gave me an opportunity. You gave the opportunity to spread my message of economic prosperity through the promotion of tax reform, small government, fiscal responsibility and free enterprise. These are all policies that contributed to the strongest economy in modern history, created 6 million new jobs and brought our unemployment rate at a 50-plus year low. And thanks to my leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, we’re going to pursue those policies and get this country to full-employment and balance the budget. You gave me the opportunity to spread my message of strong national security based on successes of the last 8 years : by keeping our military strong and modernizing it, by expanding our alliances and emboldening our diplomacy, we defeated ISIS, eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and denuclearized North Korea and Iran. And Russia is on its path to elect a pro-American President (referring to Sergei Polonsky’s run for the presidency of Russia in 2024), which will be great news for peace, stability and freedom in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. There are still geopolitical challenges to face, including a belligerant Turkey (referring to the War in Kurdistan) and the threat represented by Boko Haram in West Africa. My experience as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States qualifies me for the job of Commander-in-Chief and thanks to that leadership, we’re going to face this challenges with success and keep America safe and free.

In this context, New Hampshire has sent a message based on its official moto : either we live free or we die. For us, the choice is absolutely clear : living free. But to live free, we need to pursue this fight for the preservation of our freedom on the economic front, on the constitutional front, on the domestic front and on the foreign policy front and I engage to do so as the 46th President of the United States of America. And we’re going to South Carolina and Delaware to pursue this fight.

Thank you! God bless New Hampshire and God bless America!

Ivan Rodriguez speech after the New Hampshire primarily results

While I congratulate Vice President Rubio on his hard fought victory in New Hampshire we should know that this race is not over!  We are gaining steam in the polls like in South Carolina and Delaware!  *Crowd cheers*

There is a candidate that will fight for all American Republican or Democrat man or woman and independent and 3rd party and he speaking right now!

Unfortunately on a somber note we lost Alaska Senator Don Young today in a plane crash. *The place gets silent for a few moments* thank you very much for your respect.

We are going to take on the status quo in Washington and fight for the people at matter the most in America! The taxpayer, the small business owner, the solider who just came back from battle, the single parent who works a 9 to 5 job just to make a life or him/her and the kids!

We need to divide and heal America no matter what differences and be able to get work done! *Crowd shouts Pudge*

Thank you and good night!!

Rubio, Merkley win New Hampshire Primaries; Both hold tenuous Delegate lead

On February 13th, Vice President Marco Rubio of Florida and Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley won their parties respective primaries in New Hampshire and took the lead in Delegate counts. Next for both parties is South Carolina (for the Republicans) and Delaware (For the Democrats). Rubio is more suited to attempting to stop an upset Noem victory in Delaware as recent polling shows the South Dakota governor in striking distance of him in the state while Governor Rodriguez now holds a 5 point lead over Noem in South Carolina. Meanwhile, Merkley is likely to put a majority of his attention on South Carolina as Duckworth is widely expected to easily win Delaware.

Greek forces capture Istanbul, officially annex the city and rename it Constantinople on February 17th; Coalition forces merge and push deeper into Turkey

On February 17th, after a 3 day siege, the city of Istanbul fell to Greek forces, who immediately declared the exile of all islamic/non-greek citizens in the city before annexing it and renaming it Constantinople. What has been done by the greeks has lead to widespread condemnation by most of the world. However, despite this, Greek forces have continued to push deeper into Turkey and are now within two weeks striking distance of Ankara. At the same time, all southern coalition forces have merged and now continue their war on a stable front, slowly pushing the Turkish forces back. Experts believe the Operation will be over by mid March if not earlier.

House Minority Whip Eric Swawell demands opening of an Impeachment inquiry; House Speaker Jordan agrees due to pressure from anti-trump Republicans.

Due to the recent interactions of Russian Presidential Candidate Sergei Polonsky about his pro-Republican leanings, House Minority Whip Eric Swawell has demanded that an Impeachment inquiry be held into President Trump. Despite Speaker Jordan clearly being against the idea, several never trump Republicans or retiring Republicans have forced his hand. On February 15th, the House voted 220-215 in favor of holding a public inquiry that will start on March 6th.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune assassinated by Boko Haram Terrorist

In a surprise attack, on February 18th, while campaigning for Republican candidates in Virginia, a Boko Haram terrorist was able to land a lucky blow against Senate Majority Leader John Thune, killing him instantly. Almost immediately, the Republican Senate voted in Msjority Whip Joni Ernst to be the new Majority Leader and voted for South Carolina Senator Tim Scott to become the Senate Majority Whip. Governor Noem is expected to announce Thune's replacement within a week, so all eyes will remain on who she picks.

Associate Justice Breyer dies in Hospital of natural causes on February 20th; Trump to announce shortlist of replacements following a week of mourning.

On February 18th, Associate Justice Stephen Breyer passed away at age 85. Following the news, president Trump ordered one week of mourning before he made any announcements of who he would appoint to the court. Reactions have been one of sorrow by Democrats, though many in the Senate have pledged to fight whoever Trump picks tooth and nail with Mitt Romney as an ally while the Republicans besides Romney are determined to make sure his Nominee is pushed through.

Working Families Act is killed in Senate; Rebuild America Act is passed

Despite hard work and dedication, Senator Duckworth's Working Families act was killed in the Senate on February 19th while Senator Merkley's Rebuild America Act was passed the same day. The reasoning for this has been determined that the Republican Senate might be reluctant to give Senator Duckworth, the frontrunner for the Democratic Nomination, any sort of victory while they'll be more willing to give Senator Merkley, a perceived weaker nominee, some victories.

Fourth Democratic and Republican Debates to happen soon

After a little over a month, both parties are expected to open up with Presidential Debates. The Republican Debate will be held on February 19th at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina while the Democratic Debate will be held at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware on February 21st. Some of the topics that are expected to be discussed are the Impeachment inquiry, Justice Breyer's death, the war in Turkey, the potential 28th amendment, and several other things.

Current Primary Polling for Both Parties

This Turn will end on December 28th and will end in the Republican Primary in South Carolina and Democratic Primary in Delaware. The turn will end on that day at 5:30 PM EST and I will write the results based on that. Now remember, a Democrat can write the questions for the Republican Debate and a Republican can do the same for the Democratic Debate. First, message me the google docs link to the debates so I can check them and see if there is anything wrong with them before they're posted. The debate requirements are at least five general questions and two personal questions for each candidate. Besides that, have fun everyone.

Tammy Duckworth Gives Speech to Supporters Following New Hampshire Primary Results

“I have called Senator Merkley to congratulate him on his victory. I know many of you are disappointed, but we narrowed the gap in public polling by 8 points! We showed the doubters that democrats want a candidate who will raise the minimum wage, fight for working families, and expand healthcare coverage to make sure every American has healthcare. We are not done, we will take this energy onto Delaware, South Carolina, and into Super Tuesday. I want to thank every person here for their support, and hope every single one of you is proud of your part in this campaign.”

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among veterans, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad featuring Rubio’s brother Mario as well as some of his fellow veterans supporting Rubio’s candidacy narrating the Vice-President’s record and plan to handle veterans issues in order to improve the social services provided to veterans.

Title : Honor and Dignity

Mario Rubio : For too long, our brave men and women in uniform have been neglected and left behind and on their own because of the corruption of bureaucrats in Washington. From World War II to the War on Terror, through the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, our veterans, including myself, sacrificed and risked their lives for the defense of our freedom, democracy and security. They deserve better than the fate that those corrupt managers left them.

My brother Marco Rubio understood it because he values the courage and patriotism of our soldiers and their service and I’m incredibly proud of him. In the Senate, he cosponsored the AGREE Act, a bill that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise.

Veteran # 1 : He successfully co-sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats.

Veteran # 2 : Five years ago, he co-sponsored the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math.

Veteran # 3 : Under the leadership of President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted after the withdrawal of our troops from Syria and Iraq in 2021, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans.

Veteran # 5 : As President, Marco Rubio will invest a part of budget surpluses in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine.

Mario Rubio : That is the kind of life they deserve after sacrificing so much for the sake our liberty, our security and our country. And that’s why Marco is asking for your support and your vote.

Marco Rubio : I’m Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

What Ivan Rodriguez did part 1

Ivan campaigned in Delaware and South Carolina this time on campaign finance reform and his plans for free market healthcare reform plus he campaigned on energy independence and promised that he would not drill oil in places that would hurt the environment and wildlife.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win the Delaware Republican primary and to win among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue as well as fiscal conservatives over Kristi Noem,  the Rubio campaign broadcasts an attack ad against Governor Noem on her votes to raise taxes and fees during her time in the South Dakota House of Representatives and in the U.S. House of Representatives while touting Vice-President Rubio’s fiscal conservatism.

During her time in the South Dakota House of Representatives, Noem voted to raise taxes and fees 57 times and in 2008, she sponsored HB 1005, a legislation that raised ag property taxes $135 million.

Since the law went into effect, farmers and ranchers paid $135 million more in property taxes in 2017 than in 2008, a 61.4 percent increase. As a result, their fiscal burden is heavier.

Kristi Noem can’t be trusted on taxes and on economic issues in general.

But on the other hand, we can fully trust Marco Rubio to handle those issues as a true and proud conservative.

As a Senator, he cosponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act requiring the Small Business Administration to lead every year a study of the total cost of regulations on small businesses. In 2017, he led the effort to double the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000 to make the Trump tax cuts even broader and permanent, booming our economy, increasing American consumers' purchasing power.

He served as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and took strong leadership that defended the interests of American small businesses and passed legislation preserving America’s status as a business-friendly environment and keeping American taxpers’ and businesses’ taxes low. And thanks to the tax-cut, small government, free enterprise policies promoted by President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, six million new jobs have been created in the last 8 years and our unemployment rate is now at its lowest rate in 50 years and the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rate are at their lowest rates ever.

As President of the United States, Marco Rubio will cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, and for all businesses, including small businesses, so our economy can keep growing and creating jobs by making America the best place in the world to do business. He will reduce government spending in order to bring our deficit under control and he will adopt a balanced budget amendment.

He will reduce the corporate tax rate from 21 % to 15 %, which will make our free trade deals more favorable for American workers and keep our jobs here at home while pursuing our quest for open markets.

Source : https://www.omm.com/services/practices/corporate-and-transactional/project-finance-and-development
For the sake of infrastructure development, he will lower the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; veto any gas-tax increase; give back the control of the highways to the states; prevent Washington special interests  from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; free states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; remove barriers to public-private partnerships; abolish the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions annually and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund.

And to increase our farmers’ and agricultural companies’ competitiveness and boost America’s agricultural industry, Rubio will cut ag property taxes.

Source : https://www.cfr.org/blog/senator-rubio-and-us-leadership-three-questions-candidate
If you’re seeking a candidate you can trust to lead, to cut your taxes, to handle our economic challenges, to encourage the continuation of job creation and economic growth, to keep government small and responsible, and to get America to full-employment and permanent economic prosperity, the choice is clear : Marco Rubio.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Tammy Duckworth Runs Ad in DE, SC, and across Super Tuesday States

"I've made it my mission in Congress to fight for working families. I've worked to change the rules in the Senate to allow parents to balance their responsibilities at work and with their family. Together with my colleagues, I joined the sit in to keep weapons of war off the streets and to expand universal background checks. Most recently, I sponsored the Protect Working Families Act, which would catch the US up with other developed countries with a paid family leave program, on top of a universal childcare policy."

"However, Republicans in the Senate struck down this bill, telling American families that they are motivated by fear of giving a political opponent a 'win' rather than helping the people they're elected to represent. As your President, I will stand up to the culture of cravenness that has been adopted by the Senate, and I will pass the Protect Working Families Act in my first 100 days."

"To do this, I'll need your help, not only in this primary, but in electing a Democratic Congress to stand up to cowardice and political calculations. We need bold leadership to address the concerns facing all of us as Americans. I'm Tammy Duckworth, and I approve this message."

Tammy Duckworth Announces New Endorsements Ahead of Delaware Primary

Emily's List

Source

"We've been proud to support Senator Duckworth in every race she has run in, and this Presidential race is no different. Tammy has fought for families, reproductive rights, and the expansion of healthcare while in Congress, and will continue this fight in the White House. Emily's List is proud to have a woman like Tammy in the race, and we look forward to calling her Madame President."

NARAL

Source

"Reproductive rights have been under attack during the Trump Presidency, and we can not sit idly by while it happens again. NARAL is working daily to ensure our rights are secure, and every person is able to make decisions with their doctor regarding personal healthcare. Tammy Duckworth perfectly exemplifies that commitment, and that's why NARAL is supporting her campaign for President."

VoteVets

Source

"VoteVets has been a supporter of Tammy Duckworth since day one, as a veteran herself, Purple Heart recipient, and champion of service members, she represents what this organization stands for. Unlike politicians who use veterans to gain political points, Tammy Duckworth knows our concerns, and speaks for them. She has fought for expansion of the VA, for protecting Dreamer service members, and for providing a transition back to civilian life."

Kirsten Gillibrand

Source

"I stand here as a friend and colleague of Senator Tammy Duckworth, as well as cosponsor of her Protect Working Families Act. I'm equally proud to see a Presidential contender supporting paid family leave policy as I am dismayed to see my fellow Senators be so cowardly as to avoid helping American families. It's obvious that the GOP is scared of Tammy, and they're afraid of supporting anything that comes from her, even if it's as common sense as paid family leave and universal childcare. They're afraid because they know she can win, and that's why I'm proud to endorse Tammy Duckworth for President of the United States."

-Rally with voters at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware for a speech in reaction to the House Democrats’ move to vote in favor of an impeachment inquiry against President Trump :

Source : https://borgenproject.org/tag/global-poverty-reduction/
Once again, the Democrats are displaying their hatred of President Donald Trump, even in a time of prosperity, economic growth, decent social services for our veterans and strong national security and global peace. All they got is mudslinging. They have a too simplistic vision of things : just because of Polonsky’s political leaning, they believe that he is a puppet of President Trump. There was no thought of interfering into the Russian presidential election and there is absolutely no evidence that President Trump interfered nor has the intention to interfere into this Russian presidential election just like there was no evidence that Vladimir Putin interfered in the 2016 election in favor of Donald Trump.

Through their radical attitude, the Democrats, including Jeff Merkley and Tammy Duckworth, have shown that they are not interested in peace nor in better relations with Russia. They are more worried about impeaching our Commander-in-Chief than about an adversary's use of power against us. Because Sergei Polonski’s pro-Russia isolationist positions mean that his election at the presidency of Russia will represent great news for global peace as it would end Russian invasion of Eastern Europe and strengthen stability in the Middle East and would also put an end to nuclear escalations between the United States and Russia after more than 75 years of arms races between our 2 countries. That would mean a restoration of freedom in Russia after 20 years of Putin’s tyranny and better trade relations between our 2 countries. We all know that if a Putin-like candidate is elected as President of Russia that would mean 6 more years of tyranny and geopolitical threat by Moscow. Yet, the Democrats called Polonsky a puppet of President Trump. I think it is offensive. That is not the way to win allies and friends and they are never going to have better relations with Moscow and promote global peace and stability with that kind of attitude.

My friends, we need to work together, Republicans, Democrats and Independents, to pursue strong American leadership in the world for the sake of global peace and keep America safe and make sure, in the case of Polonsky’s election as President of Russia, that we’re finally going to put an end to decades of diplomatic tensions between our 2 countries for the sake of global peace, freedom and democracy. That’s why as President, I will work with Polonsky to normalize our relations and that will be done in the first 100 days of my presidency. We’re going to work to dismantle dangerous Russian nuclear weapons that are representing a threat to global peace, we will work to ratify of the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty in order to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapons, we will be partners for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and we will work together to ensure the respect of human rights around the world. And thanks to such a change in Russia's leadership, Erdogan's Turkey will be deprived of a major partner in terms of trade and military support. Polonsky and I will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. That is the way to guarantee long-term global peace and stability, which are keys to the defense and expansion of freedom and justice and thanks to my foreign policy experience, we’re going to get there.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Source : https://www.aaiusa.org/rubio_2016
Recently, our allies made strong progress against Turkish forces in Operation Ceasefire thanks to the our sanctions against Turkey and to the military material as well as the military training that we provided to the Kurds. The Greek forces captured Istanbul, a very strategic position. They have continued to push deeper into Turkey and are now within two weeks striking distance of Ankara. And southern coalition forces have merged and now continue their war on a stable front, slowly pushing the Turkish forces back. According to experts, the Operation will be completed by mid March if not earlier and at that moment, when our allies will get to Ankara and accomplish their final victory against Turkey, we will finally get Erdogan to the negotiating table and lead Ankara to recognize Kurdistan's independence, which will stabilize the Middle East and restore peace there. However, the Greeks declared the exile of all islamic/non-greek citizens in Istanbul before annexing it and renaming it Constantinople. That is pure ethnic cleansing and that is not acceptable. We won't tolerate it. Under my presidency, we're going to work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime because we the United States of America are unapologetic and determined defenders of the freedom of all peoples on Earth, including Muslims and non-Greek people and we defenders of freedom of religion, which is a major element of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. As long as we stand on our principles and stand up for freedom, we lead, we succeed, we win.

-Agriculture policy speech in Lakeland, Florida where Vice-President Rubio touts his record and leadership on protecting the interests of Florida’s citrus industry against South Korea’s tariffs in an effort to attract voters concerned about economy as well as Florida’s farmers and citrus producers :

Source(s) : https://www.elmundo.es/america/2011/09/29/estados_unidos/1317332352.html; https://www.growingproduce.com/citrus/insect-disease-update/marco-rubio-backs-bill-to-save-florida-citrus/
As you know, the citrus industry represent a major part of Florida's economy and Florida produces the majority of citrus fruit grown in the United States. And I have a large and distinguished record in supporting Florida's citrus producers and keeping them competitive. In early 2014, South Korea had levied a 54 percent tariff on orange products, which was harming Florida orange juice producers. In response to that crisis, I visited South Korea where I pressed officials there on this harmful tariff. Upon returning home, Rubio helped fast-track a solution by urging South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-young and his colleagues to tour Florida facilities and resolve their concerns, which they did a month later. As a result, this dispute between the United States and South Korea over frozen orange juice concentrate was resolved and thanks to this free trade agreement Florida natural juice sales reportedly have gone from $4 million to $40 million in three years and the sale of fresh grapefruit went from $1 million to nearly $5 million over the same period. I also supported Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam's petition to the EPA to grant an emergency exception to use up to 3 antimicrobials on diseased citrus plants in the fight against greening. In 2016, when 80 % of the citrus trees have been infected by greening, I cosponsored the Emergency Citrus Disease Response Act that allowed growers to immediately expense the cost of planting new citrus trees instead of the standard 14-year depreciation process and I urged Senate leaders to make citrus greening a priority and to help growers affected by this crisis.

And as President, I will continue to fight for you, including for America's citrus producers by making America the best place in the world to do business, by keeping your taxes low and by championing free trade in order to increase our citrus industry as well as the U.S. economy in general competitive in the world economy, thus increasing international consumers' access to American citrus products. If I win, we all win.

Thank you. God bless Florida and God bless America.

-Speech in Charleston, South Carolina in response to the deaths of Stephen Breyer and John Thune :

Source : https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/21/politics/marco-rubio-south-carolina-finish-strategy/index.html
Yesterday was a funereal day with the deaths of Justice Stephen Breyer and Senator John Thune. I send my condolences to their families and may they rest in peace.

Whoever the SCOTUS nominee that President Trump will nominate to succeed Breyer, that will be a nominee who will respect the Constitution and interpret it the way the Constitution is written for the sake of America’s freedom, for the sake of the Second Amendment, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press and for the sake of the life of the unborn.

And Senator Thune has been cowardly assassinated by a Boko Haram terrorist. He was one of the greatest public servers I’ve ever known. He spent his political career protecting the interests of South Dakota’s farmers and taxpayers and took a leading role in formulating energy policy by pushing for the final passage of a comprehensive energy bill. And as Senate Majority Leader, he orchestrated strong and effective leadership, promoting tax reform policies that ensured the economic prosperity that America is now living as well as free market health care solutions, the defense of our constitutional rights and a strong foreign policy that kept America safe through a strong military and a strong diplomacy. This radical Islamic terrorist attack has made it clear that the terrorist threat is still a clear and present danger. The assassination of an elected official means an attack against the entire American democracy. We will not surrender to terrorism. We need to stand up for our freedom and security and that’s why we’re going to stand up with our allies in West Africa by providing them military aid via weapons, funds and training in order to help them defeat Boko Haram, and thus terrorism will be defeated and America’s security and freedom will remain steady, ensuring long-term and solid global peace.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

In this context in which the Democrats decided to pursue their manic obsession to impeach President Trump, it is more than important for us to mobilize and to maintain the House of Representatives and the Senate under Republican hands. And that’s why it is important to see the fundamental differences between both parties’ candidates running here in SC-01.

In 2019, Joe Cunningham, along with his fellow House Democrats, has already voted in favor of impeaching President Trump. And make no mistake if he is sent back to the House of Representatives he will vote the same way again on the impeachment inquiry. South Carolina, we can’t afford that risk, we can’t afford to add a voice standing in the way of the success America has made in the last 8 years, standing in the way of more jobs, higher wages, gun rights and strong national security. No wonder that Congressman Cunningham voted for higher energy regulations, voted to pass a bill that requires background check for every firearm sale and voted in favor of passing a bill that requires stronger background check procedures.

Meanwhile, we are lucky to have a fighter in Nancy Mace. She knows how to create jobs and make America a business-friendly environment as she worked as a businesswoman as she started a small consulting business named The Mace Group that provides public relations, marketing and web services to clients in a variety of industries. Nancy also served as Vice Chair of The Citadel School of Business Advisory Board. Through her experience, you can trust her to keep your taxes low, pass legislation getting us to energy independence and make America the best place in the world to do business. Born from a military family and as Vice Chair on the National Board of Directors for the Medal of Honor Bowl, she knows what it takes to keep America safe through a strong military and how to provide decent social services to our veterans. That’s why she voted in favor of establishing the State Department of Veterans Affairs. She is a defender of unborn lives as she voted to prohibit abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected.

My friends, on March 5, we need you to go to the polls to maintain our House majority to pursue the progress of the last 8 years by electing Nancy Mace as your next Congresswoman.

Thank you. God bless South Carolina and God bless America.

In order to make our healthcare system better still, we need to allow small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs). HRAs typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem could result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them. This plan will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs. Over the last decade, because of Obamacare, employment at businesses with fewer than 50 employees has fallen 25 percent. After the Obama administration’s misguided policies stopped workers from using HRAs to purchase coverage, millions of Americans will once again be able to use employer-funded HRAs to pay for health insurance and out-of-pocket expenses. And that will be done through helping 800,000 small companies in the U.S. build their workforce by offering affordable health care options.

In the last 8 years, our administration has accomplished a lot in restoring America’s prosperity and in keeping America safe and expanding international peace.

When I moved to Wichita, Kansas along with three other West Point friends, we acquired three aircraft-part manufacturers there (Aero Machine, Precision Profiling, B&B Machine) and in St. Louis (Advance Tool & Die), renaming the entity Thayer Aerospace, manufacturing planes and other aerial engines, thus encouraging economic and commercial activities across this country and also contributing to strong national defense. And under my watch as Secretary of State, we successfully renegotiated NAFTA and ratified USMCA that boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the three signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result, we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and reinforced our competitiveness in the world economy, contributing in the strong economic prosperity America is now living in which we created over 6 million new jobs, including 500 000 in the manufacturing sector, and brought our unemployment rate in the lowest rate in more than 50 years. And Marco Rubio knows how to pursue economic growth and get our country to full-employment and we’ll get there thanks to his experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. As President, he will cut taxes for all Americans and all businesses across this country in order to make it the best business-friendly environment in the world, get us to energy independence by encouraging the exploitation of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind and hydroelectric energies, promote free trade while reducing our corporate tax rate to 15 % and lowering taxes for companies, including manufacturing businesses, to strengthen America’s status as the most competitive nation in the world economy and make infrastructure development one of his top economic priorities.

I proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Under my watch as Director of the CIA, we made strong progress against radical Islamic terrorism through the accomplishment of intelligence operations. Shortly after that, I accepted to be President Trump’s Secretary of State and under my tenure, under Donald Trump’s watch as President and under Marco Rubio’s watch as Vice-President, we defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq thanks to a strong and modernized military and strong alliances, got the world to the denuclearization and democratization of North Korea and Iran and a normalization of our relations with these 2 countries and stood up to Vladimir Putin’s Russia’s agression and China is about to hold a referendum on whether to transit towards democracy and it will be overseen by United Nations Elections Officials to make sure there is no evidence of voter fraud, which will bring further stability and peace in the Pacific. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, Marco Rubio has the best foreign policy experience to keep us safe and get the world to long-term and permanent global peace. He passed tough sanctions on the Hezbollah for the sake of our national security, fought the Obama administration to pass sanctions on Venezuelan human rights violators and passed the Girls Count Act to combat human trafficking. He introduced the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis. He co-sponsored the Let Freedom Reign Act that provided military training and arms sales for the Venezuelan insurgency during the Venezuelan Civil War and helped the people of Venezuela to transfer towards democracy, liberty and integrity. Two and a half years ago, he became the first Vice-President in office to visit Iran since the Iranian Revolution and it was in the aftermath of that visit that Arsham Parsi announced that Iran going to proceed towards their denuclearization, to stop sponsoring global terrorism.

And already throughout this campaign, he took strong leadership positions : when asked what he would do to handle Operation Ceasefire in Turkey if he were President right now, he said he would call for an embargo on Turkish oil to further weaken  the Turkish economy as well as their military power as every modern military mostly function through oil, thus increasing our Middle Eastern and European allies’ chances to defeat Turkish troops in Operation Ceasefire and getting Erdogan to the negotiating table and ensuring the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign state. When Greece declared the exile of all islamic/non-greek citizens in Istanbul after annexing it, Vice-President Rubio said that in order to combat ethnic cleansing he will work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime. And in order to accomplish our transition to a world permanently safe from nuclear war, he declared that he will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile materials to build nuclear weapons. Those are positions showing that he’s ready to lead. That is the kind of strong leadership that we need in a Commander-in-Chief and I’m proud to have served with Marco in the Trump Administration to keep America great, prosperous, safe and free.

As President, Marco will keep our military and our diplomacy strong in order to keep America safe against any threat and to ensure the preservation of peace through strength and through the promotion of American leadership. By providing our Western African allies in military training and in materials, he will help them to defeat Boko Haram. In the case of Sergei Polonsky’s election at the presidency of Russia, he will, in his first 100 days in the White House, hold a summit with Russia in order to normalize our relations with Moscow and work together for the respect and maintenance of freedom, human rights and stability in the Middle East and in Eastern Europe. He will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to get the world to permanent nuclear security and to strengthen global peace.

Marco Rubio knows how to lead and I know that thanks to his experience and leadership, we will get the world to long-term global peace and security so our children and grandchildren can grow up in a world in which they will know peace, security, stability, freedom and prosperity. And that’s why I’m proud to endorse Marco Rubio for President.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Marco Rubio’s surrogate schedule

Rubio’s wife Second First Lady Jeanette Rubio campaigns for her husband in Delaware, touting his record, experience and qualifications to lead this country as well as his plan to combat the opioid crisis and his economic to promote opportunity for all Americans.

Rubio’s older son Anthony Rubio campaigns for his father for all the week in the state of New York on issues like economy, infrastructure, education and national security.

South Carolina Governor Eric Bolling campaigns in SC on economy, veterans, national security, border security, abortion, gun rights and SCOTUS. He describes the Vice President as the candidate the most loyal to President Trump and blasts Ivan Rodriguez on his opposition to Trump’s border wall.

Nikki Haley campaigns for Rubio in SC all across the state of South Carolina on economy, free enterprise, tax reform, foreign policy, veterans, social security, SCOTUS, gun rights, abortion and freedom of religion. She described Rubio as a great and strong leader on all these issues based on his record. In an effort to make sure that Jeff Merkley, the weaker Democratic candidate in the general election, will win the South Carolina Democratic primary over Tammy Duckworth, Haley attacked Duckworth’s record as Illinois Director of Veteran Affairs in which several military veterans were abused while Duckworth covered an unchecked criminal to take care of veterans and threatened to fire whistleblowers if they didn’t « keep their mouth shut ». Haley takes on the occasion to call on veterans across this country, including here in South Carolina to give their support for Marco Rubio as he has a much better record on protecting veterans and handling this issue, especially his 2014 VA reform law and his plan to use a part of budget surpluses in the development of social services and job training programs for veterans.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo campaigns for Rubio in Florida, Delaware, New York, California, Virginia, Kansas, praising the Trump Administration’s foreign policy accomplishments and Rubio’s foreign policy experience and his plan to keep America safe through strong American leadership, strong and modernized military and strong alliances for the sake of global peace. Pompeo also spent the week holding fundraising events for Rubio’s presidential campaign.

Jeanette Nunez campaigns for Rubio all across the state of Florida on economy, small government, tax reform, energy independence, water infrastructure, space exploration, immigration and national security.

Brett Baier : "Hello Everyone and Welcome to Fox News’ Coverage of the 2024 South Carolina Republican Primary and Delaware Democratic Primary."

Martha MacCullum : "The race in South Carolina is one that has piqued interest for many Republicans as Puerto Rico Governor Ivan Rodriguez has gotten a lot of popularity in the state itself despite Vice President Rubio's attempts to stop his rise. Many believe Rodriguez's rise in the state is likely due to the fact that he's absorbing between 90 and 95% of Kristi Noem's supporters as the South Dakota Governor remains absent on the campaign trail. In fact, there was some recent polling done and the favorability rating of Rubio is 32-60-8 while Rodriguez's is 49-40-11. The reason for this is being cited as Rubio's seeming overconfidence that he already has the nomination, the disdain for him being a grifter between the Trump and Establishment wings of the Republican Party, and how Negative he is as opposed to the positives. We recently heard from a few campaign experts that he should take a book out of Tennessee Governor Bill Lee's campaign in 2018 and 2022 where he ran no Negative Ads and won. Still, the Palmetto State could be Rodriguez's first Victory in this campaign and could quickly skyrocket his run forward, as only in 2012 has the winner of the South Carolina Primary didn't win the Republican Nomination."

Brett Baier : "AFor the Democrats, an entirely different story is being heard. With the absence of Governor Cuomo, It has been acknowledged to drop his name from the ballots in South Carolina and every other state after the race as many consider his campaign finished. Now, it's between Senators Merkley and Duckworth and while Duckworth has a decent chance of winning Delaware, one must remember that Merkley remains a strong threat to her campaign. Now, of course, the first polls will close in South Carolina at 7:30 PM for the Republicans. You can expect the first results for the Democrats at 8 PM."

South Carolina Republican Primary - >1 % Reporting

Ivan Rodriguez : 46 %
Kristi Noem : 35 %
Marco Rubio : 19 %

Martha MacCullum : "Very interesting result here as it looks like Rodriguez could pull off an easy win early on tonight, but we must be patient and wait until half of all results are in. Rubio attempted to bring down Rodriguez in South Carolina but it seemed to have only made him stronger."
