Yet more special election madness:

The Fairfax County Supervisor seat vacated by Sharon Bulova is looking like a Republican takeover. Republican John Cook is up by 69 votes over Democrat Ilryong Moon, with only one precinct outstanding.

Meanwhile, in Norfolk, Democrats held the Commonwealth's Attorney post, with Democrat Greg Underwood winning 55-45 over Republican John "Cog" Coggeshall. I blame "Cog"'s stupid nickname on his defeat. Plus his lack of prosecutorial experience.

Oh damn, seriously? I worked on Moon's campaign, and from everything I heard, it looked like he had it in the bag. What the hell happened there?

I think the special election rules have shifted back to the traditional "Republicans do better when turnout is lower". Turnout was only about 17%.

I don't think these Special Election results are indicative of anything.

Wow. That is so infuriating. If his opponents can't come up with an effective way to counter an advertisement like that, they probably deserve to lose.

Just run an ad with clips of him attacking Obama, and supporting Clinton.  It won't be hard.

I don't think any African-Americans care that Terry was a hardcore Clinton fan in the primaries that much, she's no longer super unpopular.  And Terry did "Campaign Hard for Obama".

here's a collection of him being really really hackish during the campaign, nothing useful in there for attack ads though:

True story: The former College Dems President at my school, the first time he got drunk, was with Terry McAuliffe.

Deeds is not the worst candidate. I'd vote for him a million times over McAuliffe, though I still support Moran, but McAuliffe is awful beyond words' description.

Still waiting for someone to show me some anti-Obama statement Terry has made that can be used against him.  All he's done, that I've seen on Youtube looking around, is make delusional and constant hackish Hillary claims that she was still going to win.

Which prove that he's a fucking moron who belongs nowhere in office. Would you trust J. J. as a leader?

I doubt Terry believed anything that he said towards the end.  he's not a moron, but, quite simply, the worst person ever to have lived.

Does Virginia do ballot positioning in order of filing?

Yes, for primaries at least. McAuliffe and Wagner will get the top spots for Gov and Lt. Gov, respectively.

McAuliffe vs. McDonnell. How many of you will support McDonnell over Terry.

I'll either stick with Terry, or go for the Independent Green candidate.

Of course, it doesn't really matter, since I can't vote Tongue

I'd vote for Gail Parker before I'd vote for McDonnell.
