It's funny that Mr. Cantor would say that, specifically because he made comments very similar to mine about government being too big back in December. Did you see me make a statement about it? No. Why? Because Mr. Cantor and I, like many other conservatives out there, are deeply concerned about the way this country is headed. We cannot afford more back and forth attacks during this primary, for America's sake.

Eric Cantor comes to the podium.

My friends, it has been a great journey we have taken together. Only in America could a Jewish boy one day become Speaker of the House or possibly President of the United States. Only in America do we have the chance for such great liberties that only you are judged on your hard work and actions, not on your parents, your skin color or where you came from. We must stick to our conservative values, we must fight for what we believe in and never give up. When we stay who we are, we win. When our party stays conservative, we win. We must never stop the fight for freedom and we must always stand up for personal liberty. Today I must end my campaign for President of the United States, but I will continue the journey for the same cause.

Senator Sue Lowden comes to a podium in Carson City, Nevada..

Friends, we have come a long way. After months of campaigning, fundraising, and meeting thousands of Americans, our work has finally paid off. I thank my Savior for bringing me to where I am today. I am proud and humbled that I will be carrying the party banner into the general election. To Speaker Cantor, I want to thank you for running a humble and respectful race. I wish you the best of luck in future endeavors. Thank you all, once again, and God Bless!

The Brown for President campaign released a television ad today that aired nationwide:

"With healthcare costs skyrocketing, it's harder and harder for families to make ends meet.  In our fight for affordable coverage, Sherrod Brown stands with the average American in working towards universal, quality healthcare for all.  As a Senator, Sherrod Brown fought to protect Americans from being dropped from their insurance plans because they got sick and ensured that preexisting conditions wouldn't prevent children from being denied coverage.  As President he'll work to cut taxes for individuals who can't afford insurance and bring down medical costs by reforming a broken system.

Where does Sue Lowden stand?  She accepted millions in contributions from big insurance companies and even suggested uninsured Americans barter with chickens to get healthcare.  Sue Lowden, overpaid and out of touch.

I'm Senator Sherrod Brown, and I endorse this message."

Senator Sherrod Brown appeared at a rally in Jacksonville, Florida; touting his plan for fixing Social Security:

"It's time to get our priorities straight in Washington.  We're spending billions on foreign entanglements that make us less safe when we should be investing in our future.  The senior citizens of this nation deserve the peace of mind knowing they'll have a safety net when they retire.  Our future generations should also be given that same guarantee.  The politicians have failed to pass a plan to save Social Security from collapse, but as President I promise that this vital program will receive the attention and support it desperately needs.

That is why we must invest more of our budget into Social Security, cut costs, and strengthen the Social Security lockbox.  I will also ensure that we raise 401(k) limits & make pension plans more portable so that all Americans of retirement age do not fall into the pit of poverty.

This campaign is about you America, and Social Security will be strengthened during my administration."

Senator Sherrod Brown spoke before a crowd of thousands in Detroit, Michigan.  The theme of the speech was "protecting the American dream."  The Senator was introduced by Senator Debbie Stabenow who described Brown as the "only man who can fix Washington."

"You were promised, by your politicians, a life of financial security and happiness.  Instead you're interests were sold out to the corporations and wealthy in exchange for campaign contributions.  Well that's wrong America!  While you worked tirelessly in the factories, the CEOs of your companies raked in millions and then you got laid off.  Well that's wrong America!  While hardworking Americans fight to make ends meet, the wealthy receive tax breaks and loopholes and you all foot the bill.  And that's wrong!  Infrastructure is crumbling and programs that help the needy are underfunded, yet our government spends billions to make bombs and weapons.  And that's wrong!

The American dream has been threatened by corporate interests, corruption, and lobbyist influence.  Enough is enough!  It's time to provide the people with quality jobs, cut taxes on the Middle Class, and make sure all Americans have the chance to the pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.

The days of putting politics before people are over!  It's about you America and I'll ensure that your interests are held above all else."

Senator Sue Lowden begins a tour of southern states, with stops in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky. She focuses on her social conservatism, as well as Brown's liberalism.

Friends, as Senator, I'm proud to boast my moderate-conservative record. I believe my record falls closely in line with the average American. However, your other option, Senator Brown, has consistantly been one of the most liberal members of the Senate, taking home the title of most liberal in 2009. Now is not the time for more a larger, socialist government, and that is exactly what Senator Brown will bring. It's time for common-sense conservatism, including tax breaks for the middle class and businesses.

Sue Lowden releases a nationwide ad, which is called "A Fresh Voice."

Sue Lowden: For decades, our nation's White House has been plagued by corrupt, big-government spenders. These folks have spent years, decades in Washington, and play the Washington game, gambling on America's future. Sherrod Brown comes from a similar mold. He's been in politics since 1974, and has been in Washington since 1973. I offer a clear alternative to that. As a young girl raised in New Jersey, I always had the dream of one day being able to serve the country. I've spent a little over 5 years now in the Senate, and have been a voice for the everyday American. I think it'd be hard for one of the most liberal members of our Senate to say the same thing. On election day, vote for a clear, fresh change.
I'm Sue Lowden, and I approve this message.

Senator Sue Lowden and Carly Fiorina has began a tour, with it's title being "What Has Brown Done For You?" They will be making stops in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, and California.

Let's play a game. The mission? Guess how many bills Sherrod Brown has sponsered that passed in his 23 years in Washington. 50? No. 76? No. Aim lower, a lot lower. 11. In 23 years, Sherrod Brown has passed 11 bills, a majority of them being minor pieces of legislation. Govtrack.us, a non-partisan site, has labeled Sherrod Brown as a follower. He mainly assumes co-sponsership on legislation. Friends, America does not need a follower in the White House. We need a leader, a strong one, who will be ready to make tough decisions. That leader is Sue Lowden.

Senator Sherrod Brown began a Midwestern campaign tour with former President Bill Clinton at the following locations:

Cincinnati, Ohio
Indianapolis, Indiana
Madison, Wisconsin
Flint, Michigan
Des Moines, Iowa
St. Paul, Minnesota

Former President Bill Clinton spoke out in support of the Ohio Senator:

The road to economic recovery has been tough, but it would have been far worse had we not implemented reform policies under the Obama administration.  The Republicans caused this mess and now they want another shot?  I say no, after 8 years of saying 'no' and offering up no ideas of their own; do we really want to give them the chance to cause another meltdown?  Senator Sherrod Brown is the only candidate in this race who'll provide new ideas and work to keep digging us out of this economic mess we're in.  Senator Sue Lowden?  The only new proposal she's come up with is a new way to say 'no' to everything.

Senator Sherrod Brown delivered a rousing speech highlighting his agenda. :
"This campaign is about you America.  Improving the well-being of yourselves and of the lives of your families.  You need jobs, you need health coverage, you need the peace of mind that comes with having financial security.  I understand this and as President I'll continue fighting for the reforms and support you need to bring prosperity back into your lives.

Senator Sue Lowden makes a tour of the Rust Belt with Rob Portman and Mitch Daniels. She has planned stops in the following cities...
Rochester, Minnesota
Janesville, Wisconsin
Battle Creek, Michigan
Fort Wayne, Indiana
Newark, Ohio
Altoona, Pennsylvania

I find it quite humorous how Senator Brown keeps talking of how Americans need financial security because he has consistantly voted to up taxes, which gives taxpayers even more to worry about. My friends, under a Lowden administration, we will fight to give the power back to you, not the government. We believe in a low, fair tax for all Americans so that one group of people will not be burndened paying most of our taxes. In order to lower taxes, we're going to cut wasteful spending, eliminate unneeded government programs, and cut earmarks out of our bills. That has worked in the past, and it will work again. It's time for a party of big ideas to lead this nation, not a party of big brother.
- Sue Lowden

I'm a proud supporter of Sue Lowden. While the government has been spending out of control, Sue Lowden has been a voice of reason in the Senate, and has actually represented her constituents, not Washington lobbyists. The fact is, America cannot afford four more years of liberal, tainted leadership, and that's exactly what Senator Brown will bring. I personally do not want four more years of partisan politics taking place in the White House.

Senator Sue Lowden continues her Rust Belt tour in Indiana, where she touts her pro-life stance...

I value the human life, and always have. I am extremely grateful that the National Right to Life has endorsed and helped my campaign. Hopefully, together we can get ourselves in a position where we can make a difference. It's important that America has a leader who values the human life.

Senator Sherrod Brown began the second leg of his Midwestern tour with Senator's Russ Feingold, Debbie Stabenow, and Amy Klobuchar.  Major stops included:

St. Paul, Minnesota
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Sioux City, Iowa
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Gary, Indiana
Columbus, Ohio

Senator Brown used this tour to heavily highlight is plan to continue reforming the health care system:

"This is a difficult time for all Americans.  At this critical moment in American history we cannot hand the reigns of government over to politicians who are in the pocket of the large insurance companies.  As a Senator I've worked tirelessly to make sure that you're interests are placed firmly before those of the big corporations, and I'll continue that effort in the White House.  Sue Lowden on the other hand has humbly accepted millions from large insurance corporations and even suggested that the best way to fix health care would be to barter with your doctor using chickens.  I don't know about you, but chicken's for checkups doesn't seem like a viable option.

Senator Sherrod Brown released a new national television spot called "Chickens for Checkups"

Medical costs are skyrocketing, millions of Americans still cannot afford the basic care to keep their families healthy and safe.  Yet despite claiming to offer up fresh ideas, the best solution Sue Lowden has offered up to fixing our health care system is bartering with your doctor with chickens.  Senator Lowden has spent years of saying no to every possible opportunity to make sure your family has access to affordable health care, and she'll do the same in the White House.  The health care system might be fine for a millionaire like Sue Lowden, but the rest of America can't afford to take a chance on 'chickens for checkups.'

Continuing his tour of the Midwest, Senator Sherrod Brown appeared at a rally in Rochester, Minnesota.

"My friends, it's interesting that Senator Lowden has even mentioned 'big ideas' in her campaign when the best idea she's come up with in her 5 years in the Senate is a 'chickens for checkups' policy towards fixing health care.

Where do I stand on the issue?  It's time to take a stand once and for all for the Americans who cannot afford even the most basic of health care.  We need to make it quite clear that health care is a right, not just a privilege.  As President I'll negotiate directly with health care companies to bring prices down, and if they turn their backs on the American people; I'll push for legislation allowing the importation of prescription drugs from Canada.  They're safe, they're inexpensive, and it's high time we stopped letting the drug companies gain an advantage that no other industry has.

I'm running for President because we need good ideas, not poor ones under the guise of 'fresh.'"
