Statewide:  (18.3% reporting)
Corzine: 41.3%
Christie: 52.3%
Daggett: 5.5%

Daggett is doing extremely poor. I was expecting him to get close to double-digits.

Corzine leading by 63% to 31% in Cumberland County. He won it by 57% to 39% in 2005.

Only 14% is in.  Too early to make projections.

Yep, with 35% in now it's a 52-41-5 margin.

Daggett seems to get a higher share in Gloucester than anywhere else, maybe distorting the historic comparison that Gloucester is indicative of NJ. And Republicans historically do better in this county than in NJ. Still not looking good overall ...

Or maybe it's just because he's better placed on the ballot in Gloucester.  There's nothing regionally special about Gloucester and Daggett.  His numbers are all about ballot positioning.

I'm excited to do a comparison tomorrow: percentage vs. ballot position.

Big batches of votes are in from Democratic strongholds. This isn't looking good for Corzine.

Republican takes early lead in NJ governor race

Christie leads with 52 percent, Corzine has 41 and Daggett has 6 percent. It is notable, how Daggett is doing far worse than expected.

Christie's actually leading Union Co 52-40 with 23% in.

The results in New Jersey are kind of weird -- one second Christie leads by 10, and the next, he leads by 5, and then he leads by 7.

I wish it were more stable like the VA election.

What is hilarious is this:

Question - 1-Green Acres Funding - Ballot Issue
1129 of 6305 Precincts Reporting - 18%
   Name   Votes   Vote %
   Yes   148,504   51%
   No   141,056   49%

Wonder if this will actually fail. Major props to NJ voters if so.

We like to give out our results in bulk here. Tongue

Republican takes early lead in NJ governor race

Christie leads with 52 percent, Corzine has 41 and Daggett has 6 percent. It is notable, how Daggett is doing far worse than expected.

Perhaps a certain number of Dagget voters decided that they really didn't want four more years of Corzine.

Thought so too. Funny how so many Christie voters drifted away to Daggett, helping Corzine, but when they realized that it helped Corzine, their least favorite candidate, they went back to Christie.

Let's see how well this tracks the statewide final total.

The candidates that DWTL were working for seem to be losing by a fair amount, if anyone cares.

This seems to be one of Daggett's best counties so the statewide final total should be at least a little different.

OK, it's clear people. Christie wins. Game over.

(if this ends up wrong, laugh at me for all eternity)
