Another reason why Im considering leaving this party. What a bunch of snotty petty pricks! They wont endorse her because their candidate lost? If they don't add Eastman we should harass them until they do! We should dox Ben Ray Lujan and DCCC staffers until they add her and balter to the list!
I don't care how childish we as progressives have to be, it may be the only way to get what we want.

I think without a clear Dem front runner or leader right now his chances are 60-70 percent of winning again in 2020.

I remember Donald Trump being the clear GOP frontrunner in 2014 quite vividly.

These guys were almost gone from our politics.  How did they creep back in?

They crept back in because Democrats complained about their moderates.  They were DINOs.  They were no better than Republicans.  Saving them was never a priority for the left of the Democratic Party.

The thing about the moderate, and even conservative, Southern Democrats is that they were elected by black voters.  Black voters in coalition with working class white voters, to be sure, but black voters were a key part of that coalition.

Such Democrats had to have open doors for their black constituents.  They had to care what they thought.  They had to cater to them at times, even if they were more conservative than not, because they needed black votes to win.  (That's a good thing, btw, not a bad thing.)  And the results of that was a contingent of Democrats that were often conservative on social issues, but moderately liberal on bread-and-butter issues that working class folks of both races benefitted from.

This, however, wasn't good enough for Northern liberals.  They joined with misguided black Southern Democrats to being about the reapportionment of 1990 whch produced a record number of Southern Black Democratic legislators.  It also produced a record number of Southern Republican legislators.  It resulted in a record number of liberal Democrats that could be ignored.  And that's what happened; Southern blacks are now served by elected officials who have absolutely no reason to care about what they think, given the present electoral makeup of the South.

Socially conservative Democrats that are moderate, even liberal, on economics could win in the South.  But the social liberals won't have this; they are counting on demographics being destiny.  I'd really like to ask them how that's working out for them.

Anyway I'm not a nationalistic right winger, so I oppose all modern seperatism on principle (Scotland, Kurdistan, Catalonia, Tibet, Quebec, the creation of south Sudan and Eritrea, the break up of Yugoslavia etc).

Ing’s new ad going viral, almost 60,000 views in just a few hours:

I really hope those viewers can vote in HI-1.....

Edit: watched the ad, and boy, that was really good, really emotional.

He’s still a crook.
I'll take a leftist crook over his right wing opponents.

(sane)

Nicolas Maduro thanks you for your support.

Side note: I have been feeling especially passionate about this subject lately because I am pissed that the Wisconsin Democratic Party is not making moves to expel Cathy Myers from the party.

She would lose to a Generic R statewide in NY in a neutral year, so she obviously won't.

Wow, huge.

Whoa, thats a pretty big endorsement. This might actually be a competitive race...

This was always a competitive race.

Anyways, this race is revving up to be another AOC redux.

Pressley is getting more high profile endorsements than AOC. The SEIU endorsed Crowley, as did any statewide officials who managed to give an endorsement. Only Zephyr Teachout endorsed AOC.

When I meant "AOC redux" I meant another DINO going down in a primary. Indeed, I would say that Pressley is better positioned to win than AOC was.

Collusion will help gain votes in the 2020 election.
Wasn't quite sure what this meant, but almost any possible way I can think it was meant to mean seems to fit the criteria.

It's unfortunate that this child died. They wouldn't have died if the family hadn't tried to smuggle them into the country illegal. This is no reason to allow unlimited child immigration. Children also sometimes die from diseases they catch from other children at school and no one thinks that's a reason to get rid of schools.

The only way we can truly manage to rid the world of gender discrimination is an entire generation of people raised as theybies.

There seems to be a sizeable portion on the left who falsely believe you can't be racist against white people
You can't.

We must have very different definitions of racism.

Racism = prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. You are wrong.
Where did she say her race was superior? Her comment was discriminatory. It was not racist.

There were several tweets in which she talked about white people in a way in which they were inferior.

There is no systemic racism by white people against non-white people in the USA today. You can in fact be racist against white people.

All I'm seeing is how anti-white bigotry is seeping into our modern culture, and how it's now socially acceptable to be racist against white people, while white people get fired from their jobs and ostracized from society for far less than what she has said.

Do you think this hatred against white people will diminish once they are the minority? I don't. You'll just claim that since some white people still have a lot of money they all must still have institutional power, and so it's acceptable to hate them, and that it's still impossible to be racist against them. Why is the left going down this road, do they want to alienate every white person? I know you guys can't stop talking about how great it will be when whites are the minority, and no doubt there are some of you with revenge fantasies about giving those "evil white people" what they deserve, but that day isn't here yet. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

LOL, Pritzker would win against 38% approval Don. His problems are a tiny fraction of Trump's and his administration's massive and proven corruption.

✓ Governor J.B. Pritzker (D-IL)/Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY): 303 EV. (50.36%)
President Donald J. Trump (R-NY)/Vice President Michael R. Pence (R-IN): 235 EV. (45.81%)

"OG hustla"

Nelson is ok, but if he was really being an OG hustla and throwing his best into this race, he'd be consistently up by four to five points in almost all polls.

That actually made me laugh out loud a little.  Tears of joy
