Democrats for sure.

Schumer stands there with this stupid look on his big nosed face wanting to shutdown the government. Trump plead with both sides not to let it happen.

I think it's clear, Democrats care more about illegal immigrants who are vastly insignificant to our country, our world and our culture than they do actual American citizens. I can't understand the love for people of no consequence over natural born American citizens and our military.

Quite sad and pathetic. But liberals themselves are cowards. Afraid of guns, afraid of war, afraid of conflict. They are weak physically and emotionally, and we need strong people in the world. Weak people create a huge encumbrance on American life.

In other words, it's nice to give to charity, but make sure you take care of your own expenses first.

That's blatant fascism.

He appears to act generally to the “right” of the currently moribund Merkel premiership. He also appears slightly more protectionist and cautious on refugees than your average Europeist. If that’s what neoliberalism now looks like, then so be it. But I also read biased sources.

This is something Democrats have to watch out for, because it could prove to be astronomically beneficial to Republicans electoral chances. Imagine a nightmare scenario where an undocumented Muslim Immigrant blows himself up and kills a couple hundred people a month before the midterms, and Trump responds by calling for the immediate deportation of all undocumented immigrants along with putting all Muslims in internment camps, what would Democrats do? You know most racist White Americans (around 60% of them) would immediately back those proposals, and if Democrats rolled over their base of Nonwhites and Liberal Millennials would sit home, while if Democrats stood their ground they would be accused of being the "Party of Terrorist's". Either way this would result in Democrats losing 10 Senate seats (WV, ND, MT, IN, MO, OH, FL, WI, PA, and MI) and 20 House seats (AZ-01, CA-07, FL-07, FL-13, IA-02, IL-17, MN-01, MN-07, MN-08, NH-01, NH-02, NV-03, NV-04, NJ-05, NY-18, NY-03, PA-17, OR-04, OR-05, and WI-03), and once the next 116th congress came into session they probably would declare Martial law, write a new constitution, and create a dictatorship (these events would probably lead to a civil war and the collapse of the United States).

I love how before he concluded his mouth-foaming tangent about how a Muslim immigrant blowing himself up will lead to the total collapse of American society, he laid out a specific list of Senate and House seats that would flip (before the collapse, of course).

King Lear is a real up and coming star and has great potential to be added to Atlas's trolling hall of fame. He puts in a decent amount of effort, after all.

Are you telling me that the first thing on your mind after hundreds parish in a terrorist attack wouldn’t be predicting exact congressional seats that would flip?

Immediately after the Vegas shooting I drew up County and district trend maps of Vegas and NV-1 going back to 1904 to determine the 2018 margin there. I did this all before the bodies were even buried.

everyone has their own methods of coping.

Blinded partisan remarks that ignore the truth because they don't fit in his little fantasyland bubble

Democrats love their sexual predators.

Just ask all the Dems who still love folks like Bill Clinton, John Conyers, and Al Franken.

Let's not forget the super Dem state of California:
https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/24/sexual-harassment-allegations-california-democrats-306231

And those are just a small handful of examples.

Stop pretending you're a member of some special FF party when you guys are just as bad as the other guys.

R A D I C A L  C E N T R I S M  intensifies

Another shameless Dem hack who can't accept the truth appears!

At least we can all get a good laugh from triggered Dems on here who pretend their party is some magical group of folks who would never sexually harass or assault anyone, defend someone who does, or even vote for said person, despite plenty of examples proving otherwise.

Seriously though, this type of behavior is unacceptable no matter which party someone is affiliated with (and as I mentioned before, it's been proven that yes, both sides actually do it).

Y'all need to get off your high horse and take off your blinders.

I would like to remind everyone that Trump’s sexual assault rumors weren’t even a whisper until his campaign began, unlike Bill Clinton. Believe me - victims don’t come out immediately. It takes years to build up the courage to stand up to powerful people, as we have seen in the past, and that’s what makes me suspicious of these claims. And I say this as someone who would never vote for Donald J. Trump because of his lack of leadership ability, morals, and political ineptitude.

While we’re bomb-throwing and mud-slinging, Hillary Clinton aided and abetted, and covered and protected a rapist - her own husband. She threatened his victims, and then denied their right to be heard and believed. Hillary Clinton has a horrendous double standard that would bring a sense of shame to any decent person not deafened by an echo chamber of liberal and Democratic voices.

Seems like you're the triggered one (from the bolded quote), lmao.

Also, I wouldn't exactly describe myself as a hack...lord knows how much sh!t I give my party...

But your argument is the epitome of the "radical centrism trap", in the sense that it's built off of the idea that "both sides do it, both sides are equally bad", etc. Which is not a valid assumption to make.

It seems like you need to provide some actual examples to support your argument.

Anthony Weiner? Did Anthony Weiner get explicit support from the DNC in his bids for Congress after his sexual misconduct came out? I'm not actually sure...but the burden of evidence is on you, after all.

Bill Clinton? For what it's worth, I don't support the Clintons, and detest the New Democrat/Third Way electoral strategy of abandoning working-class issues to position yourself as moderate to the American electorate for short-term victory. So yes, Clinton most likely did some disgusting things, and definitely should not run for office in the future. Not exactly the "gotcha there!" point that you seem to think it is.

What is it with Hawaii and primariing Governors?

Partially it's the nature of a one party state; there's an odd ethnic cleavage that emerges a lot as well.
If two incumbent governors in a row lose primaries, can we end the MUH HAWAII ALWAYS LOVES INCUMBENTS meme which originated solely because Dubya did better than expected there 14 years ago?

This always struck me as a vaguely racist idea - "oh you know these Asians they always love their strong leaders!" They only kept Inouye and Akaka round for so long because of the huge amounts of cash they got for having entrenched senior incumbents, which is the same for all small and overlooked states.
I'm a big fan of ethnic cleavage myself.

This, and worse, is the cost we will all pay for the GOP nominating, electing, and refusing to remove, Kim Jong Trump.

The entire GOP is responsible for every murder and assault committed by a Trump cultist.

Not to say that Americans aren’t susceptible to allying themselves with very questionable individuals  (hence our current president), but Anderson would likely be destroyed and I fail to see why you think he would successful. Anderson has little to no name recognition, and the only name recognition he or his church has is strictly from two infamous events that would hurt him with a solid majority of the electorate:

1. Saying that he prayed for Obama’s death
2. His church’s stance that homosexuality should be punished with death leading to the SPLC deeming his church a hate group

This might energize radical conservatives but would be massive turnoffs to everyone else. He also lacks any relevant experience (yes, yes, Trump was elected, but I strongly believe most of the country still sees this as a net negative). I guess him being a religious leader would be an endearing quality to many Christian voters, but I think it would completely alienate all religious minorities and Democratic margins among those groups would be even higher than usual.

This should lead to a very large Harris victory, especially considering this be immediately after the very unpopular previous Republican administration.

He's actually pretty liberal on a few issues such as immigration, war, non intervention, and Israel-Palestine. Plus he hates the vets so I'm sure that will bring many cross over democrats and he sided with Muslims over gays and Jews so that could help him win more democrats potentially.

(I'm partial to naming the thread after Jeffster though, who's basically Mortimer Jr.)
