So...how is he going to help himself? Aren't you supposed to have a good grip on speaking off script before you go into three nationally televised debates?

How about every time Obama gives an "uh" or "ummm" we take a shot of whiskey. How fast do you think you'll get drunk?

pretty damn fast....let's do the same whenever McCain says "my friends" though, please.

I can see Obama turning into a Jimmy Carter like figure after his first term.  I not trying to be a hack, but I just can't see prosperity in our country with his policy proposals.

That being said, I really don't know how he would do in his reelection run.

None of us do, but if he raises taxes on the rich and doubles the taxes on capital, we are in for a major recession or depression. He'll destroy our economy by doing that during an economic downturn. That's how the Great Depression came into being. They tried to balance the budget during a recession by raising taxes.

On the Gallup poll:

What time does this bastard come out at anyway?

Obama is fixing to speak in about an hour or so.

J. J.'s Second Rule of Elections"When a politician or activist talks about a large group of voters that, a. aren't being polled, or b. really going to turn out and swing the election, there is no such group."

Don't be so mean to Phil.

One of the many reasons I want John McCain is the fact that even though I am 19 years old...I am very set in my ways for my age...my mother told me a few years ago that I "went from being a 13 year old boy to a 40 year old man".

I dislike immature youthful "trendiness" and I just feel more comfortable thinking that a guy who was my age in the 1950s is President of the United States in the 2010s. At a time when our nation is so young, trendy and hip...I think having the oldest conservative President in history would be a great idea.

I'd love to be 28 years old and have a current President who ran when I was 12 years old...and who was my age 50 years before.

Thinking of an Obama America to me just gives off this trendy, "green", future-like new decade that comes off so "Utopian" to me.

Seriously, Xahar, take a course on economics before you make a fool out of yourself like this. Duke is 100% correct.

You fail in almost every criticism because you distort the truth. The best part is when you're owned on it and you go grasping at straws (like right now).

So, ummm, when did she criticize the chief, wise guy?

Get back to me when you can craft a sentence in proper English.

Nice edit job! Typical dishonest Jfern. Your original post didn't have the word "she" in it.

It originally said, "So, ummm, when did criticize the chief, wise guy?"

For hating trends and fads, why does he align himself with 80s trends and fads?

I'll have to wait to see the polling, but I have to admit that I see the potential.  In theory, McCain could have just gotten 33-35% of the Democratic base.  We'll see in about a fortnight.

This is only funny because Lief put it in the Goldmine.

County-wise it would have been, but I suspect voter fraud in Tulsa would give it narrowly to McVain.

One thing that older white women in swing states and the bible belt love is loud, aggressive black men who dance well.
